Thought I'd share a paper with you guys since I haven't been posting nearly as much as I should.
This paper is from 1992, but its still very relevant to discussions about applying anthropological views of marginalized groups to health studies. When the onus of prevention and treatment are put on marginalized groups because of their so-called "high risk" activities, it creates a negative view of these cultures and sub-cultures held by medical professionals that spreads to the greater public.
