Zaychik's Paperback Spotlight Intro
For those of you that don't know, I'm a fairly voracious reader and so I've decided that every now and again I'm going to post a little ditty about what I'm currently reading. Because the nearest Hastings is an hour away and a little too rich for my blood (unless I'm shopping off the clearance shelves, which is a given for me), I usually buy my books from the Dollar General's $1.25 rack. Yes, I am a cheap bitch.
A lot of these books are hit and miss -- I have a knack for picking out mostly tolerable books that are able to keep me entertained, but every now and again I happen upon a book that seems so absurd that I can't quite turn it away.
I recently acquired this little gem called Rappers 'R In Danger, by a guy named Relentless Aaron.
Let's check out an excerpt:
"Tell you what...you did a good job cleaning up my house so I'll do you a favor..."
Cleaning up? I was looking for your guns, a cell phone, even a knife!
"You get to blow me," he said. Nadine turned to see B-Money cocking his head back, laughing wildly with his arms spread open wide like a damned swan.
