8 and 11
8. What early role did you suck in?
oh god, lady bracknell. no 20 year old should play lady bracknell. it was a GODDAMN BLAST but i was also 20
11. How do you react to winning a Tony?
cry because gratitude cry because emotions cry because holy shit. but also i think it would depend on the role. like, if i was nominated for playing a role in a revival of a show i’ve done i would totally call the director of the show i did the first time or like if it was a role i got passed on in college or high school or something i’d probably be like SUCK IT idk man it just depends
ask me questions like i’m a tony nominee
today i saw somebody had posted a photo of kelli in bridges and i was confused because it wasn't you
:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT THE RESTAGED COSTUMES I GET SO FREAKING ANGRY
Well, there’s good and there’s bad.
The UK stint was a long line of really bad stuff. Their Sylvan Glades, their Masquerade costumes, much of Christine’s wardrobe, the overall Phantom wardrobe, Carlotta’s wardrobe… UGH. And also the way they butchered really pretty original costumes, stripped them of decorations. But on the other hand, they had some really nice unaltered pieces in the lot as well. The Elissa skirts, the Slavegirl bodices, the Rooftop costumes, much of the mock opera costumes. So the overall look was incredibly confusing. Half incredibly awful, half really pretty. And with good wigs.
Then the US stint, where much of the UK costumes was phased out or remodeled. They were replaced with unaltered Vegas costumes (PRETTY!!!!) and brand new ones (looking like cheap knockoffs for the most). Overall they went back to actual Maria Bjørnson design, which is a GOOD thing. No more bedsheet Sylvan Glades! Actual wedding dresses! But Masquerade is still a far cry, that Red Death is still around, and overall the wig work is less impressive than in the UK. And it’s like they intentionally make the Slavegirl costumes not fit well. But when it looks good, it looks really good.
So like I wrote previously, they’ve gained some and lost some. But overall I like the look of the costumes more in the US stint than in the UK stint.
(…oh, you said DON’T talk about the restaged costumes…)
paperfacedmasquerade replied to your post “honestly i’m still not sure what the plot of hit list actually was”
KATHERINE VS MEGAN WAS THE ABSOLUTE MOST FAR-FETCHED THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD
