Scenario 1

wait, imagine them both having a nightmare at the same time- stay with me!

in one Wade wakes up, gasping for air and looks around to only see three long rips in the mattress and blood. Usually his mind would go straight to, 'Logan had another nightmare.' Except the nightstand has been overturn, a few other things are broken.

Then the fear of Logan being kidnapped while he was asleep comes. Memories of Vanessa's death, of everyone he's failed.

He doesn't know whether to sob or wail.

Meanwhile Logan is in the other room, he left their shared room because he nearly stabbed Wade. This wasn't the playful or angry stab, it was different. He crawled out of bed, dropping himself onto the floor and knocking down a few things. Not even caring as he army crawled to the living room.

His instincts roaring for him to grab his mate but in the back of his mind, he just inadvertently killed Wade. His eyes are gleaming and glistening with tears, glowing from the reflecting light of the moon. There's nothing left for Logan-

He curls up on the floor behind the couch and Mary Puppins whines from her dog bed in the living room. Desperately wanting to help but she remained lying low, watching Logan.

It isn't until Wade stumbles out of his room, breaths short and rapid as he looks around. Looking around for Logan, for Mary Puppins. When he hears the familiar whine of his pup, he steps closer but pauses upon seeing Logan. Wade drops to his knees, begging to cry because he's alive. That bring Logan out of his trance, looking up to Wade and lunges at him. His warm, thick arms wrapping around Wade as he too lets his tears fall from the edges of his eyes.

Mary Puppins comes up, snuggling into their embrace and licking to comfort them.

I was thinking about how Wade and Logan would actually look if they weren't super-people (mutants or mutated) and only regular humans instead so here are my musings (sorry, no drawing yet):

Wade would still be tall but way thinner. he eventually wouldn't care that much about maintaining a certain shape, though he'd be pretty active -- maybe when he hits his fourties he'd develop a tummy thanks to the incombustible amounts of sugar he consumes.

he would still be scarred as hell tho, and I like to think about the impact that going from the pretty boy type to the walking testicle type would have on his lifestyle choices. perhaps only once he gets out from his suicide phase he'd think twice about doing coke tho

on the other hand, Logan would still be chunky and short but he would try to develop muscle only to appease his inner caveman. he would put effort on his appearance to hit on women (no more than he does during the first X men movies) but eventually he would develop a rather pronounced abdomen thanks to the olympic amounts of beer he glugs down.

as for his mental health, I think he would get over his family issues during his adulthood pretty easily, bc most of his problems started when he discovered he was a mutant, after all.

and they'd both be less fearless and a tad more conscious of their body limitations when they reach certain ages (specially wade, who would have some kind of chronic pain or discomfort due to his burnt skin)

and obviously they would still fall toxically in love and be perverts together until they die of old age or smth

lastly but not least, there would be a 10 year age gap -- doesn't matter the universe.

(needless to say I wanna hear your opinions lol)
