This mod is outdated and will not be updated, in part because stefizzi’s mod is no longer with us and I don’t have her file anymore 😔 I recommend MizoreYukii’s Stand Still in CAS which does the same thing!

hello and welcome to my first upload! this is an expansion on @stefizzi’s Stand Still in CAS (non)mod, which I have been using for years. sadly, stefizzi’s mod does nothing to stop spellcasters from gesticulating wildly every four seconds while I’m trying to work on them, so I created a solution. I also took care of vampires and elders, and created a new mod to keep children and toddlers still as well.

Elders no longer periodically yell at nothing or complain about their backs
Vampires do not hiss or… do whatever it is they were doing
Spellcasters do not cast spells constantly for no reason
⚠️ Children and Toddlers have had their “idle” animations replaced by their “close-up” animations, during which they hold still except for periodic blinking and breathing. this is DIFFERENT from stefizzi’s mod, but achieves a similar purpose. as such, children and toddlers DO NOT look exactly like they will in game when viewed from a distance. there might be a way for me to change this, but I haven’t figured it out yet.
either way, they quit moving so much, so I think it’s an overall win

I’ll be honest: I think “Spellcaster” is a silly name and I immediately disliked it. I understand that choice is part of EA’s attempts at making TS4 gender-inclusive, which I support, but I still don’t like “Spellcaster.” so to make myself happier, I made a simple text override mod to change Spellcasters to Witches, and I felt at peace.
I’ve also created five other versions of that same mod to share with you all, changing Witches to Wizards, Warlocks, Sorcerers, Magicians, or Mages. feel free to pick whichever one you like!

changes the name of “Spellcasters” to “Witches” (or whichever you pick); also includes some grammar, spelling, and punctuation fixes
sages are still called Sages, not High Witch or High Warlock or anything, though I may make this an option at some point* the new name of Spellcasters is NOT gender dependent; all sims are now Witches or Warlocks or whatever regardless of gender. I do not think I can change this in any meaningful way! please do not make these demands of me
