College project, had to make a book cover and I chose to do Sabriel, one of my favourite books as a kid

Wait wait wait so.

So a paperwing in my head up to this point has been like. A paper airplane but big. But the description of this thing???

Wild.

A canoe, with flimsy looking hawk wings and a tail shaped like a wedge, and falcon eyes painted on the front. All of this made out of sheets of paper, and painted light blue with silver stripes.

Now I'm no artist and I spent like 90 seconds making this, but. Are you telling me THIS:

Is what the paperwing is supposed to look like??? Holy shit this is SENDING ME

Does the walker choose the path, or the path choose the walker? A piece for my favourite book, Sabriel. Have had this one sitting in works in progress for ages, and finally took the time to colour it. There are a lot more characters I’d like to feature from this series, but I may give them their own pieces later, for now, a illustration centered on Sabriel, Touchstone, Mogget and Kerrigor, with gore-crows and the Paperwing abreast either side, and atop it all the Abhorsen’s House on the Ratterlin. Jesus Christ, Mogget is terrifying. Or I guess, Not-Mogget.

Also I know I was Just saying the paperwing is absurd but I'm still sad it's gone, it was growing on me :(
