Being a PA is occasionally tough because you have to constantly prove yourself to certain patients and even sometimes your colleagues. Some people already make up their mind before you even talk to them that they don't want to see you. It doesn't matter how smart you are or who are you are, they won't be happy no matter what you do. Anything that goes wrong they will start questioning why you are even in the room with them. Luckily I haven't had to experience this much but I do know this is happening more frequently in certain areas and in certain specialities.
