Blaine steps out of the house and walks towards the car that they’re taking on this road trip. Honestly? He couldn’t be looking more forward to this. After the disaster at the government building and the intimate night between him and Sebastian, this feels like a push forward in their ever growing relationship.

And he feels ridiculously giddy that it’s about koi fish (or well, that’s the main goal. Getting in a car and escaping away from jobs and responsibilities is high on that list too).

He packs the backseat with snacks and some camping gear because if it’s overnight? They could find a nice spot for that. Blaine’s never been a big camper or anything but being under the stars with Sebastian is checking all the boxes that come to mind.

He does a mental check as he looks at the backseat, using his fingers to count. He thinks they’ve got everything.

sick & bothered

Sebastian’s been running himself a little ragged, he knows that. Between his internship, classes and work, he’s tired all the time. And well, after the whole thing with Blaine, he’s been staying out later with strangers to get the image of finally having Blaine Anderson underneath him, all to himself, out of his fucking mind.

It’s clearly not going well, since he wakes up Saturday morning with a pounding headache and stuffed sinuses. Great, just fucking great. He has to call his boss and tell him that he’s pretty sure he’s dying and buries himself back into bed. A shower would probably help but he can’t be bothered. Nicole checks on him a few times before she goes about her own day, leaving him a pot of coffee and bacon in the fridge.

His phone vibrates once, twice and he knocks it off his nightstand because god, fuck off. But then it won’t stop ringing and he finally picks it up off the floor. He pinches the bridge of his nose, answering with a congested,

Riley sighs as he waits for his bagel order, taking a slow sip of his coffee. He considers texting Noelle to see if she wants to go to the park or something to hang out. The weather is cool and comfortable and he wouldn’t mind spending some time with her since they’ve been off for a few days. The last time he saw her was the night of the ridiculous party at Avery’s and Noelle’s been busy with work so. 

He takes out his phone to text her but then blonde hair catches his eye and ugh. He puts a smile on his face as she sees him too, crossing in the crowd waiting for bagels. 

“Avery, I thought that was you.”

“How many more glasses do I have to count until you’re free to leave?” Blaine asks, a soft pout to his lips as Jake finishes inventory for the bar.

Jake smirks, looking over his shoulder as he taps a pen off the clipboard. “You don’t have to help. You can just sit at the bar, look handsome and I’ll order you a plate of nachos.”

Blaine purses his lips, leaning over to kiss him gently, “Tempting...but if I help the sooner we get to leave and the sooner we can go get some real food. So what else do I gotta count?”

Jake licks his lips, “There’s a few boxes in the back that have cocktail napkins. Start with those?”

He lets out a long sigh before he nods, turning the corner to sit with a clipboard and the back room supplies.

“Where is he!?” Reid yelled as he slammed into the emergency room.  “Where is Kris Bryant!?” he said with more urgency, but in a quieter voice to the woman at the desk, frantically looking back and forth as if he might catch a glimpse of him.  “The hospital called me, said something w as wrong but won’t tell me shit and I’m his fucking fiance, please, I need to know what happened?” he pleaded.
