The Big But Not That Big Surprise || Camily
Cade was not good at sappy, and he certainly couldn't compare to the letter Emily had left him for their Anniversary. Putting things into words what not exactly his strong suit especially when it came to a girl like Emily. It killed him that in only a couple months he would be back at Harvard, and by the time Summer came, she'd be gone to California. It was like they were always just passing each other. Just missing the chance to be together. They'd get through it, they always got through everything. There was no doubt that he'd miss her, but if missing her meant that she was getting to pursue something she really loved, then he wouldn't stand in the way.
Regardless of the fact that their time was running out, it was their Anniversary, and even if it was a little late, he planned to do something special for it. He kept the whole thing pretty simple, but something the two of them would appreciate.
Cade poked his head into her bedroom, a dorky grin on his face. "Hey, Ems, I've got something for you." He said walking into her room, scooping her into his arms. "But it's not here." He added with a grin, holding her against his chest. "You trust me enough to take you to this little surprise?" He said with a wink.
