Adore You || Emily & Cade
Emily loved the nearing spring time, but ever since Cade had arrived back in Tulsa she’d dreading hearing the month March. Now that March has finally arrived, Emily has officially started coming to terms that Cade will be leaving and won’t be coming back for a while. She had to realize that he was going to be doubling up on classes, so she wouldn’t see him for quite some time. She wanted to spend every possible second with him that she could now that the time has come that he’s going to have to start packing soon, and getting ready to leave.
To keep the two of them in a good mood, Emily had come up with an idea. She had come up with the surprise party for him with her and his friends closest to him in Tulsa. As for something special for the two of them, Emily had that handled too. She had a fun night planned for the two of them. She had put a note on his bedside table that said Meet me in the park at 5:00.
It was 4:50 and Emily had arrived at the park. She sat down in the swing waiting for Cade to show up. She started to push herself on the swing as she waited. She swung her legs up and down as she looked around searching for him feeling the wind running through her hair. Then she spotted him. He was near the swing, and she continued to swing while he neared. “There’s the man of the night!” she called to him as he arrived at the swing she was swinging in.
Cade knew it was almost time to leave again. He could feel it in the weather, in his own soul. He'd be leaving Emily again. He never wanted to leave her like this. He just wanted what was best for his career, and this was it. And Emily would be gone all summer, too. He sighed at the mere thought. They were turning into ships passing each other instead of the happy couple surely getting married one day soon.
Walking through the front door, calling out Emily's name. When there was no response, he assumed she had left. Until he found the note on the table, and a grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. A note left in her handwriting to meet him at the park. Cade glanced at the clock, seeing he had just enough time to wash his face and get himself together to go to the park. He went into the bathroom, getting himself together a little bit before heading back out to meet Emily.
He didn't take long to get to the park, getting their five minutes before hand. The first thing he saw was the beautiful girl he was lucky to call his own on the swings. It didn't take him long to get there, smiling at her. "Here I am. Have I kept you waiting long?" He asked, beaming at her. Cade sat on the swing next to her, start to move along with her. "Did I get called here for a reason?" He asked, curiously.
