The light touched her face and Casey woke gradually. She woke up because light on her face meant no Vince in bed and that made her pout but it was Saturday and she was sleepy so she almost rolled over. But then she realized that it was far too quiet. Which meant that Vince probably wasn't in the house. Deciding to get up to see where Atlas and his father had gone since the dog wasn't anywhere to be found either, she yawned and stretched, sheet falling down from where it had covered her shoulders. Not even bothering to pull it back up, she climbed out of bed and walked over to her closet, pulling on a normal Saturday outfit-- which consisted of a dress and a jacket to cover the scar on her back.
She only trusted Vince and her mother with the sight of it. Yawning again, she slipped her feet into some flats, the slight ache in her back making her not want to even attempt to walk around in heels. Heading into the bathroom, she washed her face and brushed her teeth in case Vince was downstairs..which she seriously doubted. Then, she moved downstairs-- sleepily rubbing her eyes because she hadn't put on any make up. But she stopped at the foot of stairs, feet poised over a paper footprint set out. Well, Casey didn't remember doing that last night... So it must have been Vince.
Placing one of her feet on it tentatively, she realized that it was exactly her shoe size-- size 7. Yep, definitely Vince. Following the trail downstairs, she looked at the front door from where she stood in the foyer and realized that the footprints didn't lead there-- instead the tracked into the living room. Following them into there, she followed that set of footprints into the kitchen. Casey's forehead creased in bewilderment when she saw a plate of food laid out for her and reached out to touch it, realizing that it was still warm. While doing so, she noticed a note.
"Eat up; you've got a lot of places to go and a lot of things to do today."
That was Vince's handwriting too. Attached to the note was a picture of a very familiar place-- Aurelia's apartment. Casey realized that he expected her to go there after she ate this... Well, it didn't look poisonous and since she had been the one who taught him most of what he knew, Casey trusted in Vince's cooking. Eating quickly, she then grabbed her keys and headed out of the apartment, making her way to Aurelia and Leighton's place. Aurelia hadn't been Aurelia Wayne for a year-- instead she had become Aurelia Bing-- beating Casey in her journey to the alter.
Knocking on the door, she waited for her friend to let her in and when Aurelia did, Casey's answering smile was so wide that it nearly split open her face. Her friend enveloped her in a hug and Casey squeezed tightly, careful of the bump separating their stomachs. Aurelia was clearly pregnant. "He said that I'd be expecting you so let's go. We'll take your car," Aurelia said, looping her arm through Casey's and guiding her back down to the parking lot. "So where are we going first?" Casey asked. "Why to the spa, of course," Aurelia answered.
It seemed as though Vince hadn't been kidding when he had written that this was going to be a long day...
