Gifting || Em & Kit

Enjoying the last couple of weeks of freedom before filming for The Young Avengers began, Emilia had spent most of her time between the gym and her sofa. Besides her ridiculously thorough cleaning, the actress had done little in the way of productivity and at half past midnight, she was certain that her day was over, settling back down in front of the television with a cheesy movie to watch. As per usual, however, Kit had other plans and after a brief conversation with him she found herself pulling off her yoga pants and baggy t-shirt and changing into a pair of jeans, making no more effort than she needed to. After seven years of friendship, she was under no pretences that he actually cared about how she looked, anyway. Shoving her beloved dog Alfie from the sofa and shooing him into the kitchen, the actress grabbed for her phone and her keys and headed straight out the door and out down into the street where she could hail a cab.

Despite the cold night air, she knew it was probably safer if she simply took a cab than attempted to drive her car anywhere and, after a short wait, she found herself in the back of a foul smelling cab with a driver who discussed his medical issues. Sending Kit a text stating 'You owe me for this' she leaned back, accepting the conversation and nodding where she felt appropriate, desperate for the journey to be over. By the time they pulled up in front of Kit's building, Emilia was throwing money at the driver and rushing from the car, she huddled in the door way before pressing the button which corresponded to his flat. Relief flooded her when he answered – for she was certain that he would have fallen asleep on her before she even arrived – and she grinned, “Well are you going to let me in or not? It's freezing down here!”

This One's On Me || Em & Kit

Emilia rushed to get ready, tripping over her poor dog who had clearly never seen his owner in any sort of haste before. How long had it been since she'd seen Kit? Honestly, she couldn't remember but that certainly didn't mean that she was going to let him win, even if she had missed him. Now that Game of Thrones was finished and the cast were almost ready to start promotion for the final season, the actress knew that she'd see him less than usual and the thought did nothing to make her feel better about the series ending. All of her friends, the cast mates she'd come to think of as family, would be going their separate ways and they wouldn't even be able to rely on their yearly read throughs to force them all together. Now was no time to think on that, though. As Kit had said, Emilia was notorious for being late and struggled to get anywhere on time but when there was a round of drinks at stake, the actress would be damned to show up after him.

Wriggling into her dress and pulling on a pair of heels at break neck speed, she barely had time to rush downstairs to the taxi waiting outside. “Regent Street please. Aqua Spirit,” she informed the driver, before settling into the back seat and praying that the traffic wouldn't be too bad. It wasn't having to pay for the drinks which bothered her. It was the principle of it all and as the taxi slowed to a crawl along the streets of London, Emilia knew she had lost already. The extra time it allowed her, however, gave her a chance to worry about everything that would come from Game of Thrones ending. It was stupid, really, to be so bothered by a project ending, and no doubt Kit and Natalie would be thankful of it. But not Em. She'd never felt half so happy as when she was with the rest of the cast and, when the taxi finally pulled up, the actress felt herself in need of a good drink, something she hadn't actually been expecting when she'd agreed to the meeting. After paying the fare, she stepped from the car, taking extra care not to splash the puddles on her shoes and forgot all about the haste she'd shown previously. Making her way into the bar, Emilia sought Kit out before sighing and raising her hands in defeat. “I tried. I really tried but... fine. Drinks are on me, regardless,” she laughed before closing the distance between them and throwing her arms around him in a hug. “I've missed you, idiot.”

Gym Bunnies || Emilia & Kit

The gym was, despite her latest efforts for her more recent roles, Emilia's least favourite place in the world. Sweating and aching while men posed in the mirror and watched themselves really wasn't her idea of fun and so it was a miracle Kit had convinced her to actually go. And so, packing up a towel and a bottle of water, and changing into her gym clothes (which, conveniently, were stuffed in the back corner of her wardrobe) Emilia headed out of the flat with a groan, knowing that she would be next to useless when she got there. While the males of the Game of Thrones cast – Kit, especially – took their gym-going very serious, it took a lot to get Emilia in any way motivated, though she supposed seeing Kit away from any sort of alcohol was motivation enough. The cast had been far from sober at Comic Con and there had been very little chance to actually catch up, though it wasn't as though there would be any time to actually speak at the gym.

Upon arrival, Emilia noted that it was much quieter than the last time she'd come and it was with a sigh of relief that she searched for Kit amongst the few people who were milling around in the reception. When she didn't spot him, however, the brunette headed to the reception desk and handed over her card so that she could be allowed entry into the main body of the gym. Pulling her phone from her gym bag, the actress dialled his number turning quickly on her heels when she heard a phone ring not too far from her. “Well,” she laughed, hanging up the phone and crossing the room. “You've got me here. It's more than most could do, when I had a night of crappy movies and pizza ahead of me. Do your worst, Harington.”

Unplanned Excursions - Kit & Rose

A sigh escaped her lips again as she sat back against her couch, trying to make herself comfortable. But it was difficult, her mind and body constantly active. She'd though that after all the stress she had accumulated pre-audition would suddenly be taken off her shoulders after she went through with it, no matter the result.

But in then end, the audition had not went as planned, and why the stress left her, it was quickly replaced by self-doubting, hurt and a twinge of anger to top off the sentimental cocktail brewing inside of her. She rolled her eyes when she realized she had once again been reading the same line over and over from her magazine.

Grabbing the phone who was lying on the table, she checked the time. It was well in the afternoon already, and she wondered slightly if he hadn't forgotten her, then again, he had promised some element of surprise. Rose smiled lightly, the small words of comfort he had sent her my text the day before did help though. Compliments always felt nice, of course, but she knew they meant something coming from him. Like she hoped he knew it went the other around too,coming from her.

She was about to retry reading that pesky paragraph that was causing her trouble when she heard a knock at the door. Looking up curiously  she padded slowly towards the door, opening it and smiling at the familiar face on the other side. "I almost thought you'd forgotten me" Rose said with a small smile. "Wan't to come in, or do you have plan to drag me away?" she asked jokingly.

Tabula Rasa - Kit & Rose

Rose got off of the subway, quickly walking towards the restaurant she was supposed to meet Kit it, tightening her coat around her. It was spring but the evenings were still cold in London. She finally reached the place, asking to be seated at a table for two before setting shrugging off her coat and taking her seat.

She arrived earlier, worried that if she stayed home for too long she'd scare and back off. That and she thought too much there. Although her mind was still jumbled here. She called the waiter and asked for a beer, which he immediately brought over.

She knew she shouldn't drink much, this will be the first and only drink of the night, she promised herself. Good things rarely happened when drunk, and when she could remember them, she regretted it. She took a sip of her beer, frowning at the slightly buttery taste before continuing her drink, gazing out the window, fixing random details outside to clear her mind.
