Lesser of two evils | Seblaine
The jobs kept them busy as the Anderson brothers moved from town to town hunting down whatever monster was causing trouble. Most of their car rides were filled with Blaine trying to find loopholes in the contract. Ways around it to save Darius before the deadline. A week wasn't much, but despite him wanting them to hold up in a cabin somewhere until they figured this out, Darius refused. He wanted to be on the road doing what they always did. He tried to force Blaine to stop looking because going back on the deal would cost Blaine his life again, but he couldn't. He wouldn't.
The whole time, Blaine had been meeting with or talking to Sebastian whenever he was away from Darius long enough to do so. If there was one person that could find a way around this -- it would be a demon. He had crossed paths with Sebastian months ago and for some reason the demon had saved his life when Blaine had gotten himself over his head on a job. Since then, Sebastian had a way of showing up at random times, with his silver tongue, honey and sugar words that could charm a snake. He had told Blaine that there were ways of controlling who he was and what he could do but Sebastian was a demon. Demons could never be trusted. Honestly, he should've sent the long-legged guy back to Hell a long time ago but for some reason he didn't. If Dare knew, he wouldn't hesitate to exorcise Sebastian because that was what they did.
Maybe it was time that he finally made use of Sebastian or at least tried to see if there was a way around Dare's contract that would keep his brother from going to the pit. As the Anderson brothers pulled into a crappy motel that was right next to a bar. They did what they always do. Laid out the fact of the job, settled into their temporary home and it wasn't long before Dare found himself at the bar.
"Life's too short, not to have a good drink and a good lay." He had told Blaine as though it was supposed to be some kind of joke. Which left the younger twin rolling his eyes and leaving him to his own vices while going about his own business.
They had already agreed upon a meeting place. Just after midnight, Blaine was leaning against a tree, hands in his pockets and eyes scanning everywhere alert to his surroundings. He pulled out one hand, glancing down at his watch, with a sigh. "Leave it to a demon to be late," he griped hoping that Darius was distracted enough for the night not to be keeping tabs on him.
