250313 Naeun & Junhee [Fragmented Eggshells]
Vermilion. Azure. Amethyst. Heliodor.
Those were the acrylic colours that were being painted out by Choi Junhee onto the vacant eggshells, that were but a plain peach. It was about midnight, that is, when she was doing such an odd thing in the university's art classroom. She didn't suppose that there would be any trespasser during this unscrupulous hour, since it was a time when majority of the people on campus should be asleep. Well, perhaps she shouldn't include those who were working at the clubs.
She had managed to get the permission of the teacher in charge to acquire the keys to the aforementioned class. The teacher had advised her to not deprive herself of sleep in her attempt to finish her little project. Junhee had smiled innocently, reassuring her teacher that she was not one to be carried away when it came to work or studies. Had she lied? Frankly speaking, she believe she did not commit such a sin but she admitted mentally that it might turn into one. It was time she needed, yet the very thing that she did not have.
So maybe she would burn the midnight oil after all.
The floor had been covered with used newspapers before she began painting. In spite of being a careful, considerably skillful person when it came to coating canvas along with eggshells, it never hurt to be careful. Precautions are often recommended to be taken and followed, after all. She placed the ones that were done aside, allowing time to let them dry so that a shiny surface would rest on it permanently. Aside from an alarming amount of eggshells that she had, Junhee had brought along pieces of coloured paper and craft materials. Craft materials that defined as pairs of scissors, several glue sticks and even variant types of cellotape. She did ponder on why she would bring more than enough cutting objects, but she dismissed the thought since she concluded that she probably just brought whatever she had, regardless of duplicates.
When she was painting an atrous colour, it was then she drew in a sharp breath. Something that wasn't meant to happen was about to take place. Although Junhee had locked the classroom door, the lights in the premise were obviously switched on, which will lead the person outside to investigate. She merely sighed, mentally counting the mere seconds until the human would knock onto the classroom door to find out the reason why the lights were mysteriously left on.
