Suddenly, the two figures stopped moving, and as Elena got closer, she noticed that they faces were completely frozen. Had she really paused time? Apparently so. As an experiment, she quietly said, "Rewind", and the figures moved back in time through their fight, watching carefully as it got to the point she wanted. It was like TV, and she was God. "Pause," she whispered, as it showed the past version of herself before she hurt the girl she still loved.
"You're going to refuse to hit her and then leave," she said to herself, resuming time. The past version of herself did what she said, and as she triumphantly grinned, she was placed in present time.
Wow, she thought. Time travel can be so cool.
