Paula enjoyed going to the beach, even when she was in Argentina and had her agenda full of activities she always made time for a beach escapade. Now that she was kidnapped, she could go every single day and today wasn’t the exception. She grabbed some treats, a culinary book and a hand bag to get set on the sand and headed there. Once she got to the beach, she looked around to see any familiar face but she was alone so she put her handbag on the sand and sat next to it. One thing was for sure, even if she was trapped there, she will never be tired of the view. And with that thought in mind, she lay down and closed her eyes to take the sun in.
It's Not Right but It's Okay || Faust x Landon x Teddy
Location: Boy's locker room
Time: After swim class
Teddy never enjoyed swimming all that much but was decent at it. Better than Faust at least. During the whole class Teddy couldn't help but cringe as their gym teacher barked orders at them, shortly followed by screeches from Faust down at the other end of the pool. Once they were ordered to get of the pool, Teddy followed the flow of students steadily back to the locker room. He only glanced at Landon once while he dug around in his bag for his towel.
Landon loved swimming lessons. There was something about the calm, stillness of being underwater that put him at ease even though there was a half-naked Teddy only a lane or two over. He spent the period swimming mostly free-style and trying to ignore Faust's screeching from across the pool but the echoing really didn't help much so he switched to breast stroke and the screaming was gone since he was underwater most of the time. When the class was finally over, Landon heaved himself out of the pool and peeled off his swim cap, following the rest of the students into the locker room to change and trying his absolute hardest not to make it completely obvious he was staring at Teddy.
Faust Elliot-York set his bag down on the benches and retrieved a towel despite being bone dry, having spent most of the lesson on the edge of the pool pointing at the water and screaming about it rather than in it engaging in any sort of athletic activity. He tossed the towel casually over his shoulder and looked up at Teddy as if he hadn't been humiliating himself for an hour "It's too cold for swimming" he said nonchalantly "I think it's an absolute travesty that they send us in here in hoards to paddle around in each other's filth and then freeze to death once it's over" he commented.
Teddy noticed Landon was looking and him and cocked his head to the side trying to signal and furrowed his eyebrows before Faust drew his attention. He chuckled openly at the comment. He had to agree, "You're right. The could've just as easily made the swimming portion of the course in the spring when it's warmer," Teddy said, shaking head, a small shudder shaking through him. He tugged his towel and rubbed aggressively at his hair to dry it before patting down the rest of himself. He never enjoyed changing public, though he had just acquired the skill a few years ago to change his swim shorts underneath his towel without toppling over every time he got one foot out. He wrapped the red and blue material around his waist and started shimmying underneath. "Why don't you know how to swim though?" he asked Faust with amusement, "It's a good skill to have."
Faust Elliot-York scoffed "Or not at all, I mean swimming most certainly isn't going to make a difference on my college application" he insisted with arrogance, as if the people who developed the Monarch curriculum were utter idiots for their inclusion of swimming lessons. He quirked an eyebrow as he watched Teddy's uncomfortable looking motions, distracted for a moment by the oddity of it. "Oh" he said as he stripped off his swim shorts, revealing his navy boxer-briefs beneath and more so revealing that he'd had absolutely no intention of getting in the water ever. "I suppose I just never learned" he explained casually "I never had lessons as a child" he added.
Landon coughed awkwardly when he met Teddy's gaze, looking back down at himself and then at the clothes in his locker. Most of the people around him were just stripping down, though there were a few who had the decency to change under a towel or head for the stalls. Landon was more for changing sort of inside his locker as quick as possible and so that's what he did, holding the door in front of his most private bits as he switched out of his wet swim shorts and into fresh boxers, using his towel to dry his hair when he was sufficiently covered.
Teddy "What if you were on a cruise and fell overboard?" he asked, raising eyebrow at the other boy, "it could save your life." He couldn't help but laugh as he saw Faust reveal his boxer-briefs beneath his swim trunks and shook his head realizing Faust was taking the 'not swimming ever' part of swim class very seriously. Teddy shrugged, "Never too late to learn, right?" he said, pulling the trunks out from under the towel awkwardly and putting them in a plastic bag. He began to pull on his own boxer-briefs, wobbling slightly as he got one foot through. Suddenly, one of the juniors, the one who got held back a year and played on the lacrosse team scurried past Teddy, snatching the towel that was wrapped around his waist. Teddy teetered and fell onto the tiled floor with an audible smack and a cry of surprise, "HOLY SHIT-"
Faust Elliot-York smirked "If I was a cruise and I fell overboard I'd like to think that some hunky sailor might fetch me from my despair" he insisted quietly in a cheeky tone of voice, leaning forward slightly. "That's another thing I don't like about swimming, wet-" his words were cut off by the sight in front of him, a nude Teddy toppling to the ground like a fallen tree "Oh my god!" Faust squeaked, tossing his towel over his bag and scurrying to Teddy's side to help him up, not without taking a little moment or two to admire Teddy in his rare form for Faust was certain it might be his last shot. "That's why I wear my underwear under my shorts" he explained, extending a hand to help Teddy up with a smirk on his face before a monumental realization hit him sqaure in the face. Faust's expression dropped immediately and so did Teddy when he let go of the boy's hand, awe struck and utterly dumbfounded by the revelation.
Landon turned around at the commotion behind him only to be met with a strangely silent Faust and Teddy laying naked on the ground. Landon glared at the guy holding Teddy's towel and made his way over to the two boys, holding out a hand for Teddy to take so he could help him up. Once Teddy was upright and Landon had given a still silent Faust enough strange, questioning looks to last a lifetime, he gave Teddy his towel so he could cover up. This was not how Landon wanted this first to go and he was sure Teddy didn't want about twenty guys staring at his dangly bits anyway, "Are you okay?"
Teddy cursed as he scrambled to pull on his boxer briefs while he was still sprawled on the floor. He only managed to further tangle the fabric around the one foot he had already pulled them around. Teddy cursed more under his breath, feeling everyone's eyes on him and his face growing red and hot from embarrassment. He tried to get up with Faust's help but fell back onto his ass again when the other boy's grip relaxed suddenly. "Oof," Teddy looked up at Faust, confused by the frankly shocked look on the boys face. Landon appeared out of nowhere and finally got Teddy to his feet. Teddy covered his junk quickly with the towel that was offered to him before he mumbled a quiet 'thank you' to Landon. He shuffled his way over to his bag and pulled up his boxer briefs all the way and sat down on the bench and hid his face in his hands. Well that was fun.
Faust Elliot-York stood in his position stuck to the floor as if his feet were glued there, eyes wide. He whipped his head around quickly and looked at Teddy, looked at all of Teddy where he sat down with his face buried in his hands. "Oh" he said to himself before striding quickly in Teddy's direction, grabbing his arm and encouraging him upward "Can we talk?" he asked softly, giving him a firm look.
Landon bit his lip and watched Teddy sink onto one of the benches, glancing over at Faust for a minute who looked like a deer in headlights. He was so confused and so he tried to ignore Faust getting all up in Teddy's business for whatever reason by glaring at the Junior still chuckling to himself about what he'd just done to Teddy. The boy caught his eye and the chuckling stopped though, a confused look replacing his amused one. Landon just continued to glare, crossing his arms and waited for the guy to eventually look away while he continued to ignore whatever seemed to be going on with Teddy and Faust.
Teddy Teddy peak out from behind his hands at Faust, looking from the hand clasped around his arm and then back up to the boy. What now?? Teddy furrowed his eyebrows and tried to figure out why Faust wanted to talk to him but drew a blank. Teddy looked to Landon wondering if he knew what this was about but the boy was preoccupied with glaring at the junior who was still hold his towel like a trophy. He turned his attention back to Faust and nodded hesitantly, "Sure.... just let me get some pants on..." he said, pulling out his jeans and slipping into them quickly.
Faust Elliot-York flicked his head toward a bathroom stall away from everybody else and tugged at Teddy's arm like a child dragging a parent along "I-" he swallowed hard and closed the door behind them, keeping his back pressed closely to the stall wall, keeping distance from Teddy as best he could "We-were you...um" he stumbled on his words, his cheeks heating up and his mind running a mile a minute and making him dizzy. "Henry James" he stated bluntly, he didn't bother with a proper question, all he needed to see was Teddy's reaction to the name.
Teddy looked back at Landon as he was tugged away by Faust, confusion apparent in his eyes. The door closed behind him and he just grew more confused as Faust seemed to be trying to put distance between them. Teddy narrowed his eyes, unsure of what was happening, but then his eyebrows shot up. Henry James. His brother's names. But how did Faust..... Then Teddy remembered where Faust must have heard it and his mouth gaped. "Uh..." Teddy scrambled for words. How did he know?? "You mean... James Henry. At the Masquerade..?" he asked uneasily.
Landon turned just in time to see both Faust and Teddy scuffle off into one of the stalls. Well then. Landon frowned a bit and tried not to let it bother him. He and Teddy weren't even dating and Faust kept telling everybody he was straight so Landon was going to try and take his word for it. Besides, they wouldn't do anything but talk he was sure, especially with a bunch of other guys around who were actually all slowly disappearing as they finished getting dressed. Landon gave the Junior one last glare before walking back over to his locker and tugging on his shirt and pants, grabbing a tiny bottle of hair product before situating himself in front of the mirror next to the stall Teddy and Faust were currently occupying. Landon was tried to ignore whatever they were talking about in favor of fixing his wild hair, which looked like a bird's nest if he didn't smooth it out right after getting it wet, but it was sort of hard to block them out when they were both talking so loudly.
Faust Elliot-York tensed his jaw and nodded his head when Teddy corrected him, who else would be that particular about it? Who else would remember something like that unless it had been their own faux identity? It had to be him. He swallowed hard and looked up at the ceiling, his hands tucked behind his back, he bounced nervously on his heels before throwing caution to the wind and launching at Teddy, quickly tugging the boy's boxer's down and gasping when his familiarity with Teddy's gentials was confirmed. "Oh god" he spoke into his palms, pulling them away from Teddy's body and using his hands to mask his shame. "Oh god, oh god" he mumbled over and over, squeezing his eyes tight shut. He wasn't sure where to start, whether to apologize for sexually harassing Teddy right there in that stall first or whether to explain his motives without addressing what had just happened.
Teddy cocked his head to the side, the purpose of this sudden rendez-vous going way over his head. Teddy opened his mouth to ask what Faust was doing but no sound made it out before Faust suddenly lurched forward and pulled down his pants, "FAUST, WHAT THE FUCK!" he exclaimed trying to push Faust away and pull his pants back on at the same time. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" he squeaked, eyes wide in horror. What in the world was going on. He glared at Faust as the boy moved away and started muttering to himself. "What is going on, Faust?!" he asked sternly, not taking his eyes off Faust or his firm grip of his pants.
Faust Elliot-York kept his face buried in his hands when Teddy pushed him away. When his shoulder knocked against the wall of the stall he curled into his and groaned miserably at the way things were in a general sense. What had happened then and what had happened now. Faust cursed himself by being so useless in his interactions with people and his handling of situations. He turned back to Teddy with wide eyes and a sorry expression on his face "Don't you- I- Teddy we..." he swallowed hard, attempting to catch his breath as he pointed to Teddy and then to himself "That night we" he said softly, shamefully, unable to get his words out.
Landon was just about finished fixing his hair when he heard Teddy shout causing Landon to jump a bit, not expecting the outburst at all. Landon felt a bit guilty about it, but he scooted a bit closer to the stall and listened to them, or rather listened to Faust, explain what the shouting was about. He didn't understand what he was saying though. What night? And what were they doing that made Faust sound so.. ashamed? It was just odd, the entire thing and Landon really hoped that Faust didn't explain any further because if his suspicions were right Faust would probably end up with a black eye the second he stepped out of the stall, not dating Teddy be damned.
Teddy had his eyebrows furrowed determinedly at Faust. Teddy opened then closed his mouth, "Faust, I already told you," he said harshly, "I remember basically nothing from that night. I don't even know who you were!" His arms went up with a spaztic flail. Teddy had wracked his brain for days after the ball, trying to coax his memories to the surface but failed. He remembered dancing with someone, talking to some blurs of faces, having drinks with a few people and kissing a few others. Teddy lowered his voice, realizing how ashamed Faust suddenly looked, "Look, Faust. I don't remember very much of the ball.. what's going on," he asked, trying to sound gentle.
Faust Elliot-York pulled Teddy's arms down from their wild flailing and held them still looking into Teddy's eyes "You fucked me in the bathroom" he said in a hushed voice through teeth clenched tightly together, his stomach twisting in viscious knots and feeling as if it could expell from his mouth at any given moment.
Teddy stared blankly back at Faust, blinking a few times trying process and reprocess the words he just heard. Teddy pulled his arms away from Faust's grip and stepped towards the door of the stall. "Faust, this isn't funny," he said flatly, ready to exit the area.
Faust Elliot-York shook his head and bowed it solemnly "I'm not laughing" he said, looking down at his feet against the tiles beneath him. He kept his hands to himself and pressed his lips together "I wouldn't joke about something like that...no matter what kind of person you may think I am" he commented in addition.
Landon dropped the bottle he was holding when he heard what Faust had mumbled, completely shocked except he wasn't really. He kind of figured something had gone down between the two of them when he'd heard a zipper a few minutes ago. "Fuck." Luckily the bottle he'd dropped wasn't glass and he only had to pick it up, hands shaking as he tried his best to not picture Teddy and Faust going at it because the thought honestly made him physically ill. Landon couldn't give two shits about what he looked like right now and made a bee-line for his locker to pick up his school stuff and leave, he needed to get out of the locker room because he definitely didn't want to hear anymore of that conversation.
Teddy unlocked the door and was about the pull it open before he froze, eyes on Faust. Teddy felt a strange heat built up inside him, he wasn't sure if it was anger, disgust, confusion, or a sick combination of all three. "Oh god..." he said quietly, lowering his head to look at the floor. He swallowed before asking, "Are... are you sure?" He looked up at Faust, his mind swirling so fast with thoughts he could barely get the words out.
Faust Elliot-York bit into his lip and nodded his head "I...I'm pretty" sure he said, thinking back on that night, he'd become pretty familiar with Teddy's cock, his hips, his everything, he was sure he was sure by now. He swallowed hard "I- I didn't know Teddy" he confessed honestly, hoping that Teddy might believe him, might hear the sincerity of his voice. He wiped his palm over his mouth "You don't remember a thing?" he asked him, looking at the boy's discontent face.
Landon fumbled with his things, dropping just about everything you could imagine and thanking whatever was listening that there wasn't anybody around left to witness it. Teddy and Faust. He never in a million years would have guessed that those two would end up hooking up or whatever it was they were doing but it was fine. Everything was fine and Landon was definitely not upset. He had even told Teddy that he didn't want him to sit around waiting on him. He knew being upset about it wasn't fair and so he definitely wasn't upset. Except he was and with everything he dropped he grew more angry and hurt and wondered if it would be completely crazy of him to punch Faust for seemingly no reason when they finally decided to come out of the stall.
Teddy 's world was spinning. It was all too much, he couldn't focus on anything. He tried to blink away the emotions that varied from anger to sadness that were bombarding his brain. He shook his head when he caught Faust's question, "Very little," he said. How could he have done that. Been so reckless and carefree. "I... I don't understand," he muttered, eyes focused on the stained tile floor. One of the only things he remembered from the ball was dancing with Lance and kissing him. He had only found out a few weeks ago that that had been Landon. Landon. Teddy's head shot up and his eyes were wide. He exited the stall almost instantly when he remembered the other boy in the equation. He stepped out into the washroom area of the locker room and saw it was empty. "Landon?!" he called frantically, walking quickly to the lockers.
Faust Elliot-York screwed up his face, appalled by the fact that in admidst what Faust was trying to say to Teddy all he could think of was Landon? Faust scoffed and shook his head, pressing his shoulders to the septum of two stalls and rolling tear filled eyes to the ceiling. Of course, he thought, folding his arms against his chest. Once again he'd proved himself to be nothing more than a simple fuck and a regretful one at that, how many times was Faust going to be stung by this feeling before it stopped bothering him?
Landon jumped when he heard Teddy call his name, but luckily nothing fell to the floor that time. He cleared his throat and tried to make himself seem as normal and as composed as he usually did when he answered him, his voice soft, "By the lockers, Teddy. I need to go. I'm late for.. something." Landon slung his bag over his shoulder and slammed the door shut, trying to keep his composure. He knew it would probably best for all of them if he just got out of there as fast as he could and left the other two alone.
Teddy rushed over to where he heard Landon's voice resonate from. "Landon!" he said when the other boy came into view, "I... " Teddy stopped a few steps away from him, "How.... how much did you hear...?" he asked slowly, a worried look masking his face. Teddy looked down at the floor, back up at Landon then the floor again. What was he going to do..?
Landon bit his lip and shrugged, "It's uh-- it's fine. I told you to do whatever you wanted and not to... wait for me or anything stupid so it's fine. Completely fine." Landon shrugged again, staring at the floor and the lockers and the ceiling, basically anywhere that wasn't Teddy was getting far more attention than the boy he was supposedly talking to, "I just don't want to hear about it so I'm going to go and let you guys.. finish or whatever."
Faust Elliot-York 's eyebrows lifted, his eyes wide, he pushed himself away from the bathroom stalls and moved quickly to the other boys "We're not- we weren't" he shook his head, stuttering pathetically.
Teddy shook his head in bewilderment, "What?! What did you think we were doing?" he asked. He looked at Faust then back to Landon, a thought clicked in his head, "You thought... we were having sex? Right there in the stall??" he asked, eyes wide in shock.
Landon shook his head, "Ermm.. no. I just-- never mind. I really just need to go, okay?" Landon shifted on his feet, wanting to leave but not entirely sure how to make himself actually do it. It felt like the impossibly awkward and ridiculousness he was feeling was keeping him rooted to the spot forcing him to look between the two of them for all eternity. If the situation was any different it would have been almost comical.
Faust Elliot-York 's jaw dropped and he pointed to Landon, a dumb expression plastered all over his face "The boy you like" he said, it suddenly dawning on him. He'd tried to kiss Teddy when he was high and Teddy had insisted that he was interested in somebody else. It made sense to him now, all of it did.
Teddy stepped forward as Landon started to move and reached out a hand. He was hesitant to grab hold of Landon's arm, not sure if the boy wanted the contact, "Landon.. don't go... please. Let me explain." He looked up at the boy, "Landon," he said softly, "Faust just... he told me that at the masquerade.. him and I..." Teddy found it so hard to put to words, as if saying it out loud would make it more real. "He and I had sex..." he trailed off, looking down at the floor. Teddy suddenly turned his head to the other boy in the room, not understanding what Faust was talking about. His eyebrows furrowed, "what..?"
Faust Elliot-York ran a hand through his hair and grabbed for his bag near by, resisting to look at the other boy's while they discussed Faust as if he wasn't there. He threw his shirt over his shoulders and popped his collar, tossing his tie around his neck untied before he stepped into his slacks. He sniffled softly and ignored the other two until he realized he was being addressed. He looked over at Teddy and shrugged his shoulders "What? Do you think I'm going to judge either of you? Think any less of you for whatever it is you have going on?" he asked, he had thought that Teddy was trying to pretend Faust was off the mark. That's exactly what Faust would have done in Teddy's shoes anyway.
Landon frowned, "Was that suppose to make me feel better because if it was you really need to work on how you comfort people." Landon's voice was sharp and he had no idea he could be that rude to anybody, but he was hurt and the last thing he wanted to hear were the words 'he and I had sex' coming out of Teddy's mouth, whether it was yesterday or over a month past. He then realized that Faust was speaking and god was that annoying... and scary. Faust seemed to know now and Landon had no idea how he'd figured it out. Well, he did actually. Landon knew he wasn't being exactly discrete, but still. He looked over at Teddy and bit his lip, his heart racing when he realized what Faust had over him. So far he'd only told people he trusted and while he liked Faust well enough he definitely didn't trust him.
Teddy 's face fell with Landon's words. "I..." he was at a loss. He looked at Faust then at Landon with wide eyes. He had never thought when he told Faust there was someone he liked that he would ever know it was Landon. Teddy sat down at the nearest bench and scrubbed a hand down his face. How did this happen. "Landon. I didn't even know something happened between Faust and I," he said while staring blankly into space, it was the only way he could do this without crying. "You know I didn't remember much from that night...." he said softly before turning up to look at Landon, tears forming in his eyes now, "I'm sorry.."
Faust Elliot-York furrowed his brow "You're sorry?" he repeated, looking at Teddy as he looked to Landon "Oh you're- should I be sorry too? You know, for being used by you" he said "Since you're so sorry about using me, I guess I should apologize to Landon too, right?" he said bitterly, a disgusted expression on his face.
Landon bit his lip and softened when he looked at Teddy who seemed like he was about to burst into tears. Landon wondered for a split second if maybe he should threaten Faust into not telling anybody but that wasn't really him. Instead he started towards Teddy to comfort him only for Faust to say something incredibly stupid halfway there. He turned on Faust with a glare and started towards him instead, letting out his anger by connecting his fist with Faust's jaw. He took a step back and tried to collect himself before he hit him again, "You don't talk to him like that. Ever."
Faust Elliot-York was knocked back by the hit and touched his hand to his jaw immediately "Fuck" he snapped roughly, squeezing his eyes tight shut before looking back at Landon furiously. He tensed his jaw and spat at him in disgust.
Teddy turned to Faust, surprised by the venom in his remark. "No.. I..." he gaped dumbly, "I'm sorry to you too. It's my fault..." Teddy looked at Faust then saw Landon walking towards him. Teddy jumped to his feet when he realized what was about to happen. He heard the sickening sound of bone on bone. Teddy rushed towards the two of them, "STOP!" he shrieked, a hand grasping Landon's shoulder. He tried to push himself between the two boys tyring to plead with his eyes. "This is my fault, I did this" he said forcefully, looking between the two boys, "me." Teddy pointed to himself, feeling the tears rolling down his cheeks.
Landon took deep, steadying breaths as he tried to calm himself down. Killing Faust was a bad idea. He would go to jail and get expelled and Teddy would never want to see him again because he would be a murderer. Landon closed his eyes and took another breath. Okay, so he didn't really want to murder Faust. He was just angry and upset and hurt. He took another breath and opened his eyes, fixing them on Teddy and the tears pouring down his face. Landon's heart sank and his frown deepened, all traces of anger gone, "This isn't your fault, Teddy. You were-- intoxicated.. and you didn't know. It's okay. I'm sorry." Landon mumbled, wanting to pull Teddy into a hug but Faust was still standing there and the thought of doing that in front of him just didn't sit right yet.
Faust Elliot-York inhaled deeply, running his tongue over his teeth to make sure they were all in place as he dipped his head and began doing up the buttons on his shirt, looking away from Landon and Teddy and giving them the privacy they clearly wanted before Faust could make his escape, fully dressed. He swallowed hard and pressed his lips together, eyes welling up with tears as he listened to the sounds of the boy's voices, he hadn't meant to cause any trouble between them. He hadn't meant to cause any trouble at all, he never did. If anything, he was jealous of Teddy and Landon.
Teddy shook his head. "I'm sorry I put you two through this... neither of you deserve it," he sniffed. He squeezed Landon's shoulder gently as a silent thank you and offered him a weak smile. Teddy then turned to Faust and looked down at the floor awkwardly, "Thank you... for telling me. I know that.. that wasn't easy..." Teddy wasn't sure if he could say he'd have the guts to do the same if he were in Faust's shoes, which says a lot.
Landon shrugged, "It's fine. I mean, I shouldn't even be upset.. I'm not upset.. so.. yeah." Landon tried not to get angry again when he looked at Faust, he'd already hit him and Landon really wasn't one for hitting anybody. He stiffened a bit and cleared his throat, "I'm sorry I punched you... even though you deserved it." The last bit slipped out but Landon at least had the decency to make sure it was under his breath so only Teddy, who was closest to him, could really hear. He cleared his throat again and looked at the floor, embarrassed.
Faust Elliot-York looked up as he tied his tie "Shut the fuck up" he growled at Landon rudely, he didn't want Landon's apology, he didn't want anything from Landon certain of its' insincerity, he was only trying to be civil in front of Teddy now that he'd acted out. He fixed his tie and shook his head "Don't thank me" he said to Teddy rather bluntly, he didn't want that either. He could be certain that Teddy was regretting what he'd found out and Faust felt horrible about it.
Teddy smiled thankfully at Landon, wiping the tears still running down his face, but now more because of happiness than distress. He never though Landon could do something like that; lose his temper and actually hit someone. In a bizarre way, Teddy was sort of happy to know he was important enough to Landon for him to lose it. Though he really did feel sort of bad that Faust was on the receiving end of it. If only it had been the Junior that stole his towel instead. Teddy jumped slightly at Faust's sudden outburst then nodded at the following remark, "Alright... but.. just so you know, I'm just happy it was you instead of some random senior I never met before or something," he said pressing his lips into an awkward smile. He scuffed his shoe on the floor unsure what to do next.
Faust Elliot-York threw his bag over his shoulder "Don't humor me Teddy, you're not the first person who's embarrassed to say they've had sex with me, you won't be the last, I'm sure" he said sighing softly, he couldn't return the smile that was on Teddy's face, he didn't have the energy left in him to do so. He looked at Landon "You probably think I'm the scum of the earth and I doubt you'll believe me when I say I won't tell anybody" he commented "So instead of taking my word for it, consider the fact that perhaps you and I aren't so different" he ran a hand over his hair and stood up straight "I may be an asshole but I take care of my own" he said pressing his lips together, refusing to make eye contact with either boy.
Landon tensed up again, setting his jaw as he glared at Faust and his snappy attitude. He took a couple more deep breaths though and let it go, trying to put himself in Faust's shoes but that didn't work and only made him even more angry so he just settled for focusing on breathing. Landon's work went to shit when Teddy spoke again, commenting on how he was glad it had been Faust and he just wanted to swing at him again when this time, Faust spoke up and made Landon feel like the asshole, "I don't think you're scum.." Landon mumbled, the other boy's words sinking in and he realized for the first time what all this really meant, "You like boys too." Landon spoke, dumbfounded, "Well then... Jesus.." He shook his head and took a step back, thinking. After a few shaky breaths he looked back at Faust, "Thanks.. for saying you won't tell anybody. I won't either-- for the record." Landon held out his hand for Faust to shake, wondering if he would even take it.
Teddy shrugged, "I'm just looking on the bright side, Faust. There always is one," Teddy said a little sadly, wondering how often Faust looked down on himself. Teddy watched the exchange between the other two boys and the realization that dawned on Landon. He held his breath when Landon reached out a hand to shake.
Faust Elliot-York pressed his lips together "That's not even worth commented on at this point" he stated, a blush coloring his cheeks when Landon spoke, had it really taken him that long to come to that conclusion? That was slow, even in Faust terms. He swallowed hard and stood up straight, looking at Landon's hand cautiously for a moment before taking it with confidence "Thank you" he returned, feeling a little sick.
Landon nodded and shook Faust's hand hard before letting go quickly. He was still pissed at Faust and didn't exactly want to hold his hand anytime soon, "Sure." He answered, glancing down at the ground again, not sure where to go from here and still feeling a bit like he might throw up every time he thought about Teddy and Faust together, "Fuck.. I'm going to need a good brain scrubbing.." He mumbled, shaking his head a bit harder than normal, hoping to possibly kill the couple of brain cells that stored the memory of what had just happened.
Teddy breathed out with relief. He chuckled, "Yeah..." he said slowly, "Well.. I think we're all sufficiently late for our next class now... we should probably get going," he suggested awkwardly. Today had been very very strange. Teddy was pretty sure he'd used up all his emotions for the next year in the past little while. He should also never drink so much that he forgets important details of his life ever again. Like losing his virginity. Teddy had a queasy feeling that this wasn't going to be the last time the masquerade would come up, but there wasn't much he could do about that now. They all would just have to wait and see.
