Who Are You? ;; Eunjung x Woobin
Eunjung had decided long ago that she didn’t care enough to look for her birth parents. Why? They had given her up when she was a baby, why would they possibly want her in their lives now as an adult? And why would she want people in her life that had once abandoned her so long ago? She couldn’t even know if they were still alive or together. Recent events had, however, made her have second thoughts about all of this. Her adoptive father had recently disowned her for reasons that she absolutely hated to think about.
Aside from her boyfriend and the rest of her crew, Eunjung felt incredibly alone in the world.
On a whim a few days prior, Eunjung had found her way to an office where she could try and locate her birth parents. She hadn’t really known what to expect, but it was definitely not what ended up happening. The people there ended up being rude, telling her that it had been too long for them to be able to track down the files. After nearly an hour of insisting, one of the interns had come out with a picture with a name written on the back and they kicked her out the door with it. The picture was of the woman who had been her birth mother.
She really wasn’t all that sure what to do with the new information. Was it enough for her to at least know what she looked like? It wasn’t hard to guess that the two of them were definitely related by blood, she shared some of the same features as the woman. Had this woman ever given her a different name or had she been a nameless baby when she had gone up for adoption? She had so many questions but too much anxiety to delve too much further into the situation at the moment.
Eunjung found herself sitting on one of the benches in the quad holding the picture. Her eyes were in the general direction of it, but they weren’t fixed on the portrait, they seemed far off as she found herself lost to her thoughts. She hadn’t even told Jihoon about the fact that she had gone in to try and find her parents. While she loved him, she knew that this was something that she needed to at least get started on her own. She didn’t, however, realise that it would get started quite a bit sooner than expected.
