Let’s talk about the new album, I’m gonna ramble on about it in a video too, but that takes a bit of time to put together and in the mean time I’ve got this keyboard sitting right here.

I know this release has a more grim and nihilistic tone to it (of course I do, I wrote it), but I hope people haven’t missed the angle it’s coming from. More than anything it’s reflective and introspective, and I don’t know if maybe this sounds a little too condescending or pretentious, but if you look inside yourself and at the world around you and nothing hurts, then you really haven’t looked at all.

If I were to describe this album in simple terms, it’s a frank and unfiltered attempt to confront my own scars, failings and fears, which is naturally not the most pleasant thing to do. But despite that it’s important, and I’d be the first to admit that if pretending they weren’t there and running away from it was an option, maybe I’d take it, but that’s an absolute dead end and it’ll all catch up to you eventually.

Fortunately I’m kind enough to give you an answer right in the middle of the album, and it is very simple; “discard the damage, self repair”
