INTRODUCING ARTIST PARADISE KHANMALEK (Vancouver, BC) Paradise is a young artist and writer working in digital illustration and creative writing. They are South West Asian, grew up in California, and are currently located in Vancouver, Canada. Their work has been featured in multiple literary and art publications including “Totally Radical Muslims Zine”. They graduated from Emily Carr University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2015. Paradise's work explores what it means to live in a racialized and visibly gender non conforming body. They aim to go beyond simple representations of racialized queer bodies, to make art that recognizes the power and humanity of queer people of colour in its foundation and grows from there.
