Paradise Sparks - Blazing New Trails?

WorldPop, a newly formed international idol company debuted its first group Paradise Sparks a little over a year ago. Since then the group has blazed to soaring popularity, releasing two albums and a single EP with a new album set to release November 15th.

The group consists of seven members from around the world possessing a wide variety of skills and range. They maintain a steady social media presence and are supportive of other debuted members of the company. As per company policy, personal details about the boys are heavily regulated, often only being released to the public by the boys themselves. But, who exactly are they to the public?

SJ: Leader, Rapper, Korean American, 24

JP: Lead Vocal, Korean American, 24

Sakura: Main Dancer, Japanese, 24

Cypress: Lead & Sub Vocal, American, 23

L-Key: Visual, Vocal, Chinese American, 25

Blue: Rapper, Japanese British, 23

H-whim: Lead Vocal, Japanese, 24

The members Blue and Sakura are also noted as being the ones writing the group’s songs. With Sakura also choreographing their dances. The fan name has been noticed to be “sparklers”, a decision that the boys voted on.

Since their debut, there have been two “controversies” involving them. The first was the reveal that SJ and JP are siblings, this led to some to claim that SJ was showing “favoritism” to JP, claims which were disproven by careful analysis of both public and private interactions between the members.

The second was the reveal of another set of siblings, this being that member H-whim is the older brother of WorldPop’s female idol group, Blooming Spring’s Tsu-Dream. However, it was confirmed by members of both groups as well as the ones who scouted Tsu-Dream that everyone was unaware of this fact until Paradise Sparks and Blooming Spring were introduced and that info was kept under wraps until last month, when both idols confirmed it. It should be noted that there has been no observable change in the two’s interactions since the reveal.

Despite these minor controversies the group still enjoys a thriving presence and continues growing.

WorldPop Company-

An experimental idol company that focuses on international groups and potentially changing the idol industry through its own methods. All groups made by this company are multinational, multilingual, and multi genre. It encourages its idols to be active in the creation of their songs, their choreography, and their socials. As well as anything else. It also values the privacy of its idols, going to great lengths to keep any information that the idol would prefer be kept confidential, be confidential. It currently has two groups debuted, Paradise Sparks and Blooming Spring. They have recently debuted their first soloist NOVA

Paradise Sparks-

MagiBlade -

The first co-ed group that WorldPop has released. The group features six members, all having to do with myths and legends. The members are also opposites, light vs dark, order vs chaos, etc

Ji-HAN(they/them), knowledge deity hailing from Korea, 23, Lead Dancer, Sub Rapper

Tsu-Chi(he/him), god of order from Japan, 24, Lead Rapper, Sub Vocal

DokDok(he/they), trickster from Korea, 23, Lead Vocal, Sub Rapper

Hoshi-aku(she/her), celestial demon who landed in Japan, 23, Lead Rapper, Sub Dancer
