Inter-Facility Transports. The bane to EMS provider’s existence. We understand it’s a needed service we provide and some states are hospital based or only run 911’s. But private / non-profit companies thrive on these because of the payout. They never seem to come in at a decent time and if they do, it seems like everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Calls like that are a huge cause of burnout in senior providers. What are some tips / tricks to make them better and prevent the burnout?

I was recently informed that some EMTs at the company I work at have decided that I have a paragod complex.

I’ve decided to just make the most of it and turn it into a joke at every possible moment.

Today my partner sneezed. And all I said was “bless”. I waited a good moment and said “I only said ‘bless’ because I’m speaking directly to you and I am a god. Sooo”.

This mf laughs. Then says quietly “wow. I should update my Facebook”

Sometimes it’s important to believe your patient or in this case the patients mother. Mother states PT swallowed an open safety pin doctor did not believe the mother upon my exam the PT had tenderness to the lower left and right quadrants. I sent the PT to X ray after the doctor decided they would have them follow up in the morning with peds and found this. PT was in surgery in 15mins later.
