At pretty much any hospital in real-life, sexual relationships during a work shift would be a serious cause for dismissal (TV Medical Drama). Every single person who works at a hospital would be way too busy with their jobs to be in a heated relationship. Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and ER are known for steamy scenes that draw the audiences in. In reality, doctors are actually caring for their patients instead. They have the lives of other people in their hands, and it is their job to keep the patients healthy and alive. Sexual intimacy would distract the doctors from properly doing their job, and cause them to be extremely flustered in the work setting. The doctors would be constantly put in awkward positions, just like they are on the medical television dramas. It is much easier to just keep personal relationships at home and away from your important job of saving lives.
