birthday surprise ✘ kess

It was late and as much as she didn’t want to travel again on the same day? She did. Of course, Kenny was under the impression that after Smackdown, they would spend the night there and take their flight back home on Wednesday morning. But Jessica couldn’t allow that as she had other plans. For months, she had planned a birthday party for him, something very small and intimate but very meaningful. The guests? His parents and sister, her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, his best friends, her best friend, you know, the people that meant a lot to both. For so long she orchestrated the whole thing, food, plane tickets, accommodations, etc. And today was the day!

She hoped he didn’t suspect anything because, she spent their Tuesday texting everyone back at their place, making sure everything was in order. When they were minutes away from their home, she texted her mom and told her to turn off the lights and /to get in their places/. Sure enough, once they arrived, Jessie was relieved to see all lights were off, as if the house was completely empty. Once they got off the cab, they walked over to the front door, where she pretended to struggle putting her phone back in her bag, this way Kenny would be the one unlocking and opening the door.

And, as soon as he opened it, the lights were suddenly on, balloons were everywhere, and people jumped out from their hiding places, everyone welcoming the birthday boy with a cheerful and happy, “Happy Birthday!!!”

one and the same || mae&bee.

It had been a long time since the last time Bianca saw, whom she still considered her best friend, Mae. To say she was nervous? It would be a HUGE understatement. There were so many things to talk to about, to catch up. But she was extremely excited too, because there wasn’t anything else she wanted the most than to see her best friend, someone she still considered a sister. Unfortunately, they couldn’t see each other on Monday, as they agreed. So, they figured out seeing each other at this one park would be a good spot to see each other.

Thus, even though Colby left earlier this morning to go to the gym, she let him know she’d probably be away from home for most part of the day. Making the drive over to the park, Bee parked in the nearest spot close to it once she got there. Shoving her keys and phone in her purse, Bianca exit and locked her car before walking over to the bench they agreed on meeting. Sitting down, Bee tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she waited for her friend.

Little sister || Bee&Colby.

She wouldn’t lie about it. She was actually pretty darn nervous about this. Mostly because Gracias could be a difficult person. Sure, it had been a while since the last time she saw her little sister, but she also knew the girl could be a little bit difficult at times, actually, most of the times. She could be loud, she could be obnoxious, she could be super sassy, but all in all? Gracie was a really sweet and gentle girl as well. Then, there was Colby. She knew Grace was a huge Seth fan, but...how different would it be to see Seth on TV and interact with Colby in person? Big. She knew that.

Thus, here they were, standing right in front of the gate where Gracie would show up. Bianca simply kept squeezing Colby’s hand, because yeah, she was excited, but again...extremely nervous. Some minutes later, her sister showed up. Carrying a small bag in one arm, and holding the hand of one of the flight attendants. Bianca smiled and waved. “Hey!” and thus, her sister returned the gesture, however...dropping her bag...and jaw, as soon as she found herself in front of them and she saw the guy standing next to her. “Oh my God. Oh my God. OH MY GOD!” she started to squeal, making Bianca shake her head, letting go off Colby’s hand just to wrap her arm around Gracie’s shoulders. “Grace? This is Colby, my boyfriend. Colby? This is Grace, we call her Gracie because she’s still our baby.” she introduced them, pushing the ten year old a little bit. And thus, with all the excitement on her face, Gracie held her hand out.

1 + 1 = 3 || April&Phil.

Well, not it was the perfect time to spill the beans. It had been so hard to hold in the news for hours and even more horrible: Not even throwing a small hint out there. No, she wanted him to be clueless until it was finally time for her to reveal the great news. No, not great. The wonderful news! And despite that, she couldn’t help but feel slightly intimidated by how he would react. She loved him and certainly loved bragging about how good she knew him, but Phil could also be unpredictable...so this one was hard to tell.

Keeping the first test she took on Thursday, April made sure to clean it and keep it safe in a place he wouldn’t find it. When it was time, she filled a bag with random candy she bought on her way home from the doctor’s office, of course also adding the test in there, hoping he would actually find it while browsing the content of the bag. Then, she took the tests the doctor gave her, folding them and shoving them in her pocket. Taking a deep breath, April went downstairs and made her way over to him, bringing her hand back as to hide the bag. “Ahem.” she cleared her throat, standing in front of him and blocking his view from the T.V. “I got you something.” she commented, holding out her hand with the bag. “We’re too old to go trick-or-treating so, I figured I’d get you this.” she paused, letting out a soft chuckle. “Happy Halloween!” and then...her heart started to race incredibly fast.

Long time no see || April&Phil.

Well, there she was. Honestly, she had no idea she would be making a trip anytime soon again, but circumstances and life can have...different twists, obviously. Most importantly -or ironically- was the fact she would travel not because of business or something like that, but because it had been a long while since the last time she had the chance to see one of her friends, Phil. And while most of the time they spent it playfully fighting and calling each other names, April had always appreciated the guy, not only seeing him as a close friend, but as a mentor as well. She always kept in mind she owed a little bit of her success to him.

So, she finally made it. Making sure not to pack many things, partially because she wouldn’t spend many days with him and because she wasn’t the kind of girl that needs many different outfits...April still had to get one of her bags, even though it wasn’t the biggest thing in the world. Of course, before dealing with all those dreadful things, she texted him letting him know she had arrived. Once she managed to find her bag, she made her way around the airport. Pushing her glasses back, her dark orbs scanned the place; Her height wasn’t helping much, so she simply started to walk around, hoping she’d manage to find him.

Hours. She spent hours crying. It was kind of stupid, considering a part of her mind KNEW what was going on. She just didn't want to accept it. To say she was shocked was an understatement, with physical proof of what happened that night, it was impossible for her to hide the facts. And now? Now she had to deal with the consequences of her acts. How? Well, by starting to put her baby's life and health in the first place. And then...there was Nick. Oh how she adored that man. And yet, she could lose him today.

And she hated herself for it, because he was so...amazing to her. He was wonderful and...he could leave. Sighing, she texted him, asking him to come over. She knew she couldn't hide this forever and the faster she did all of this? The better. Anxiously, she plopped down on her couch, waiting.

Travel woes & french food || April&Nick.

Admittedly, before setting her mind to the decision of actually visiting Bitchfield, she wasn't so sure. After all, it was him, the one who was supposed to take her. At the end, she decided to go, randomly inviting the buddies she found on the dashboard. And yes, even if Nick admitted to be joking about the invite, she couldn't help but feel bad. She knew he was struggling with certain things and the least she could do was simply be there for him. So for that, she shoved her phone in her pocket along with her keycard. Only a couple of minutes later, she got to the lobby and waited for her friend.
