General Notes || Now that the ranger's know where their Zords are. It's up to a small group to get them back. Could this be a trap, or is it their only shot to get their zords back? But, when Finn's power act up grabbing Syria's attention. How they got the information is reviled.
Kitty found herself standing outside of an old abandoned warehouse. She looked the building up and down with distaste. "This is her idea of a secret lair?" She hissed at Sam, who was leading this particular raid. "God, I was expecting more thanks to all those stupid superhero movies I had to watch. Iron Man would never have an arch-nemesis this lame holding his suits captive." She paced around the side of the building, looking for a good way in and then looked back at the group. "Well, what are we waiting for?"
Syria on top of one of the zord's heads. Normally she'd be either in her Nexus amour, or her lab gear. But, she decided against both. Once she realized how messy upgrading the zords was. So, she decided on wearing a mechanic jumper. Though do to the fact that it was hot in the warehouse. She had the upper part tied off. Revealing a a tank top she was wearing underneath. Her hair was up in a messy bun. Humming happily to the music that was coming out of the headphone that are around her neck. Syria was putting on the finishing touches to each zords. Looking away from the mini computer she was using to look around her. She looked around the hangar-bay like room. Smiling a little as she looked at each zord. Syria saw that the zords were each interacting with each other. Having had them for longer than she liked. The girl got the chance to realize that they weren't just weapons but, apart of the power rangers team. They could speak in the own way, and each learned to trust her. Which she feels that it wasn't hard for them to do at first. But, once they learn how her relationship with her father was, and once Hercules got them to see she only wanted to help. They were willing to cooperate with her. Taking one last glance around the room before putting the final touches on the zord she was sitting on. Syria thought back to how her father demanded that she move the zords, and how she should let cylatrons stand guard. She wasn't happy about moving them. It meant that her father would have more time to bother her when she was working. It also meant that she would also have to make sure that more cylatrons were being made. Syria told Carter this when summer started. A smile crossed her lips thinking about her boyfriend. She couldn't wait to tell him that she was finally finishing the zords upgrades.
Finn looked over the building they currently stood in front of as he tried to figure out what Kitty was complaining about. On the list of things he'd noticed, he couldn't say the decoration or landscaping had been high on his list, but then again he dealt with stress much differently. His heart was already racing as he tried to imagine what they would face once they were inside. He could only hope that they still had the element of surprise on their side, and the whole set up wasn't a trap orchestrated by Carter and Devone to take them out once and for all. "Which way are we going in?" he asked as he looked to Puck for direction. He was their leader, and after everything Finn had been through with the rangers, he wanted to make sure they knew he was ready to follow Puck's lead and go with the team.
Puck looked to Finn when he asked the question and then turned back to survey the area, thinking carefully about what the best move would be in this situation. Obviously they couldn't just barge into the place, because that was a stupid idea and Syria would figure out that they were there. "I'm thinking we should probably go in through the back. That way we'll be able to catch her off guard and get the upper hand." He looked over at the small group of people around him to see what they thought. "That sound good to everybody?"
Kitty listened to Puck's plan, surveying the old warehouse for a better course of action. The basement windows looked fairly secure, unlikely to break easily. She shrugged, careful to keep her face annoyed, "It's not the worst plan you've ever come up with." She agreed, looking to Ryder who nodded in confirmation.
Finn nodded his head and took a deep breath to try and calm his nerves. It was the time before the battle that he'd grown to hate the most. All the waiting and wondering what would happen only gave him time to think up the worst case scenarios. The fact that any of them were likely to happen certainly didn't help. Following Puck's lead, Finn made his way around to the back of the warehouse hoping they would be able to catch their enemy by surprise.
Syria was finishing up the zords upgrades. All the zords were easy to figure out what weapons, and abilities she was going to give them. But, the zord she was sitting gave her a challenge. Not knowing what weapons to give or abilities this zord should have. But, earlier that week she figured out what she was going to do. Syria paused for a moment, deciding that she was going to check the security system.
Kitty followed Finn and the other Rangers around the back of the warehouse to a set of worn looking doors. She could feel Ryder's presence beside her but she tried not to look at him. She still wasn't exactly happy with him for withholding the fact that Arianna was still alive from her. She saw his mouth open and suddenly her heart began to race, the last thing she wanted was to have an awkward heart-to-heart with him in front of the Rangers outside of Syria's lab. Instead, she looked ahead and bounded herself against the sealed entrance. It's frame creaked and the doors opened slowly, groaning along the way.
Syria check the security system. Nothing seemed out of place. Then again if something was wrong with the security system her father's army of cylatrons would handle whoever tried to break in. Even though Syria hated those monsters. She made sure to keep them as far from the area she was working in. It's a good thing that her lab had more than one room. The room she was in was at the middle of the warehouse. It was big enough to hold all the zords. Looking at her computer's monitor to see if there was something new on the cameras. But, all she saw was the cylatrons standing around. She told them do a security check before getting back to her work.
Finn watched as Kitty flung herself against the door to take care of opening it for them. He could already tell that despite her small size, she wasn't one to back down from a challenge. All the time in the rangers with Rachel had taught him not to underestimate someone's toughness just because of their height. Not wasting any time, Finn followed everyone else through the door and into the warehouse. Once inside, signs of Syria and her father were everywhere, but what he didn't see is their zords. "Maybe they're-" Finn stopped mid sentence when he saw a group of patrolling cylatrons enter on the far side of the room. While he knew that it wouldn't be as easy as walking, taking their zords, and leaving. He still wasn't happy that they were no longer alone. "We've got company," he said to make sure everyone on the team was alerted to it as the cylatrons began to charge. Kitty smiled as she notice the Cylatrons charging around them. Her nerves were tingling with excitement, it had been too long since she issued a proper ass-kicking. "Not for long," She snorted, smiling at Finn. "You want to start off or should I do the honors?" Finn glanced away from the charging cylatrons for a split second and over to Kitty when he heard her voice. He'd seen a lot of things since he'd joined the Power Rangers, but never anyone as happy as Kitty currently looked as they were about to be ambushed. "Uhm.." was the clever response he made before he caught sight of the first cylatron within striking distance out of the corner of his eye. "Both?" he replied as he spun around and swung as hard as he could at their enemy. His fist trust a solid blow knocking his opponent from his feet. Finn had always had more strength than he had speed, but the force of the punch surprised even himself as did the growing dark rage he felt building inside. As another cylatron quickly approached, Finn didn't have time to try and calm himself down and find any sort of peace. Their enemies were coming hard and fast. All around him Finn could see his teammates stuck in their own battles, taking out their enemies that seemed to be growing in number with each passing minute. Finn's heart was racing, his fists shaking from the overwhelming darkness that continued to swell in his chest. He tried to take a step back as everything in front of him started to blur into a mass of fighting confusion. Taking a shot to his side, Finn grunted in pain and squinted his eyes to try and focus and bring himself out of the dark fog. He couldn't give in to it and let himself be consumed completely. It was something he'd feared his whole life. Growing up half demon on Nexus, no one would let him forget what he was and how his future would be. It was only after his time on earth that Finn ever thought it could be different. He was surrounded by people he cared about, people he wanted to protect from Devone and his army. The thought of his friends and family getting hurt, and worse yet, possibly losing them all to Devone again, made something inside Finn snap. "Nooo," he yelled out as he imagined Devone taking everything away from him again. All it took was a split second of embracing the darkness and rage as he swung at the cylatron to change everything. Instead of a normal punch, a field of energy shot off from Finn in a quick powerful burst in every direction. He hadn't meant to and didn't know he was capable of such a thing, but there was no pride in his action, only fear. He'd seen first hand what his powers could do when he didn't control them. He'd nearly killed Brittany when she'd snuck up on him, and he knew that wasn't even half the amount of force he'd used. Finn looked around frantically trying to find everyone among the bodies of Syria's guards.
Syria was still sitting on top of the pink ranger's zord. When she felt noticed something different. More cylatrons run out of her the area. Syria got to her feet care not to fall off the Pegasus zord. The zord lowered it's head so she could get off. "Thank you," she spoke to Pegasus zord. Walking passed the Lion Zord and Phoenix zord. She also to note that they were acting a little off. They seemed to be happy. Syria couldn't think for to long before she felt a powerful energy. She quickly left the area running down to where it was coming from. Syria got there just in time to see Finn was a powerful energy shot. It looked like it took out most of her father's small army. She waited for a moment to watch what was happening. Her eyes looked on Finn. His body language screamed out to her. She understood how he must have felt. But, how did the two rangers and the friends even know of this place. A question she'd have to ask. But, first... she was going to have to get them away from any more cylatrons that decided to show. Entering the room she let them know that they weren't alone. "What the hell is going on here.....?" Finn spun around frantically counting each of his friends as they stood up until he was sure he'd spotted them all. He'd been lucky that they were alert enough to duck and shield themselves from the majority of his blast. From the wide eyed expressions looking back at him, he knew they were going to have a lot of questions. The moment he saw Puck's mouth open to no doubt ask him what had just happened, Finn heard Syria's voice instead. Her presence was a reminder of what they'd come to do. There wasn't any time to stop and ask questions, which he was grateful for since he didn't know how to answer them. He didn't want to think about what it'd meant or how he couldn't control it. If Finn had his way, he would have bottled it up and tried to forget about it forever. "We're here for our zords," Finn heard someone say beside him. He looked over to Syria and nodded his head to echo the sentiment. "We know you've got them here, and we want them back," he spoke up.
Syria saw the everyone else ducked when Finn's power blast hit the Cylatrons. So, that would mean she was rigth about her power grid. Shaking her head a little. puck was about to ask Finn what happened. But, she decide to cut him off. Finn wouldn't want any of them to know what had happened. So, she spoke up. But, what Finn had said. She it wasn't what she wanted to hear. Only her Father, his new nitwit, Carter, and she knew of this place. "What... the zords. But," she was shocked. Who would have told them of this place. Her mind wondered back to the night of the carnival. After Carter got back form talking with Sam he was acting a little off. ' No... he wouldn't.... it can't.' She close her eye's and opened them landing on Finn. "Please tell me how you fond out that they are here?" She hoped that the sinking feeling she was having was wrong.
Finn watched as the shock appeared on Syria's face. She was always hard to read, or at least she was to him, but not in that moment. He saw clearly that she had no idea they were going to show up. With any fear that they were walking into a trap gone, Finn watched as Kitty and they others went in search of their zords. Syria confirming they were there was all they needed, but when Finn saw the pleading look on her face as she asked, he couldn't just leave her in the dark. After all it was just moments before that her arrival had saved him from having to stumble his way through an explanation, so he figured the least he could do was to answer her question. "Carter," he said honestly. The thought of covering for the boy never entered his mind. Finn didn't care if Carter was going to end up in trouble with Syria over it or not. He wanted her to know the truth. "He told Sam," he expanded. Finn faintly heard Puck's voice from the other room calling for him after the zords had been found. "We need them back." Finn didn't know why he felt like he needed to explain more. They were the ranger's zords after all, but he couldn't help it. Syria looked heartbroken and no matter how many times they argued, he still kept hoping that one day she would leave her father's side all together.
Syria notice that everyone ran off in the wrong directions when she said the zords were here. Yet, her eyes didn't move from Finn. He had confirmed what she was thinking. Her lip quiver a little. The hurt that she was feeling. She would be able to explain in words. Syria felt her eyes water. She closed her eyes. She didn't want to break down... yet. She would have missed Finn saying that they need them back. But, she didn't. Shaking her head. Syria got her emotions under some control. "You are right. What are ranger's with out there zords?" She said trying to put on a smile. "You guys have great timing. I know you still don't like that I took them. But, there up grades are complete." She looked around to make sure no one else that shouldn't be here was there. "Umm... the doors behind me will take you to your zords. There is a labtop in Hercules... I mean the dragonzord cock pit. It has all the info you'll need on how to maintain their upgrade, and if they need to be fix. It's all on that laptop." She looked at Finn. for a moment. "Umm... you don't need me to show you where there are, or how to leave do you?"
Finn could tell that Syria had wished he'd said any name than Carter by the look on her face. While he never liked Carter or thought that he was capable of being anything other than guy who had hurt the rangers and people he cared about time and time again, Syria was different. Finn desperately wanted her to leave her dad and prove that she wasn't anything like them. He wanted her to show that being a half demon didn't mean you were doomed to a life of evil and hurting people. From his episode a few moments before, he wasn't so sure anymore. Every day it got harder to control it, but he kept fighting. "No, we can do it." Finn had a feeling that she was barely holding it together as it was, and she didn't need him or anyone else rubbing anything in her face. She was willing to hand over the zords, and that had been all they'd come for. "Hey guys, they're over here," he called out to his teammates before looking back over at Syria. He wasn't sure quite what to say to her, or if there was anything he could say to make the situation any easier on either side. "We'll take good care of them," he said sympathetically before walking past her and leading the others to their zords.
Syria was trying hard to held herself together. Thoughts of how could he and why did he started to full her mind. Put some part of her was relived that Finn was the one that to the lead. Well, the other were still looking for the zords. Even though they didn't see eye to eye when it came to Carter. They both had something in common. That they were half demon. That they were both scare of the powers they had. Even though Finn must be confused by what just happened. Syria respected that he took control, and didn't say anything that would break her. She didn't notice that Finn'is teammates passed her. Not until he said that the zords would be taken care of. She turned around just to see him head off to collect the zords. She know that they were ready to help in the war. Syria used the last of her strength to teleport to her room. With no one around she let the fact that Carter had betray her hit. As she sunk to the floor over come with a wave of emotion. The tears falling from her eyes. Never did she think that Carter could hurt her like this.
