  ------  jisang’s  day  had  been  going  quite  well .  as  well  as  he  usually  let  his  days  get ,  that  is ,  and  it  was  a  fragile  balance .  he  was  a  cranky  &  sensitive  guy ,  many  of  his  days  &  weeks  had  been  ruined  simply  by  seeing  someone  he  found  annoying  ...    ...  and  THERE  this  person  was !!  some  tryhard  with  a  dumb  stage  name .  jisang  had  ignored  him  until  he’d  had  to  debut  with  this  shitty  project  group  under  the  same  agency .  since  then ,  they’d  both  gotten  into  so  many  fights ,  it’d  become  an  inside  joke  between  other  employees .  right  as  he  saw  s**ngdae ,  jisang  grimaced  with  all  his  might ,  and ,  obviously ,  decided  it’d  be  funny  to  provoke  him .  ❝ sundae !! ❞  he  called ,  ❝ how’s  my  favourite  backyardigan  reject  doing !!  i  hadn’t  seen  you  in  so  long ,  i  thought  you’d  finally  realized  this  wasn’t  your  calling . ❞

“you’ve gotta be kidding, right? your form is terrible,” greer teased, coming up behind hanako, head cocked to the side. it was part of the bit. part of the fun. doing covers of each others’ parts for fans was hilarious, because everyone just assumed they were best friends. the assumptions cracked greer up. 

slyly wrapping her arms around hanako’s waist, the younger of the two smiled impishly. “you need to relax a little more. this is all supposed to look effortless.”

     “can you order something ridiculously unhealthy ?” having ridden for what felt like hours in the car and having eaten only a few bites at his parents’ charity gala ( appetite lost to the disapproval radiating from mother when she queried if he was still photographing ), chunyu is eager to not only get out of his stifling suit but to order in the greasiest food available at this late hour, a rare indulgence only yearned for after charity events.

“hey! get your butt over here!” sori called across the room to her friend, oblivious to how many people in the backstage greenroom cringed or flinched away. she was going to go onstage in like half an hour, anyway-- they’d be free of her soon enough. gesturing to the camera in front of her, she grinned. “they’re filming for our next behind-the-scenes youtube clip. you should come sit in my lap or something. fans love a crossover, and we’ll give the shippers something to yell about! come on!”

there it was. again. she got these questions every-fucking-where she went. how can you be in a girl group? is it weird in the dorms? vinh couldn’t help but sigh. at least being used to this bullshit made it easier to answer the questions without exploding at people.

once she was backstage, she collapsed into a chair, eyes rolling out of her head, immediately on the offensive as she was approached. “what-- you interested in what’s between my legs too? because i think if you look, you’ll find that i’ve answered the exact same question about fifteen fucking times on youtube.”

“do you know what i think about a lot?” sikyung said with an exhausted sigh, looking to her friend. “this group has two managers. three leaders. all of us are legal adults.....and yet, i swear to god, sometimes it feels like we’re wrangling eight year olds.” even ahra, who was supposed to be one of the three leaders, had her moments. sikyung’s life was chaos, and while she didn’t dislike it, it was a little exhausting sometimes. the rest of the group were pretty damn lucky sikyung considered them family.

“i know you’re doing this for exposure or because my company asked you too or whatever, but i appreciate it.” maybe nayeon wasn’t the best with words, but she meant what she said-- she loved her debut song, and she loved having a featuring artist on it even more. she wasn’t sure that she’d be able to carry it on her own. “they have the demo done-- they finished it last night! you want to give it a listen with me?”
