02/131: Very, very thankful for getting to attend the World Poetry Slam finals last night in #denvercolorado . I'm thankful for the education bestowed by those who have seen and experienced things I have not, and my upbringing tried to block out. I am grateful for all those who have turned pain into beautiful, painted portraits that show others they are not alone. I'm thankful that vulnerability begets vulnerability, and safe spaces, which value and honor life, can be created, even in the midst of hate and chaos.
