Deftones + Far. Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, UK, 1997. Incredible. Visceral. This was, I believe, Deftones first EVER UK show. It was three weeks before the release of their second album, Around the Fur, so they treated us to several new songs. Far were excellent - this was the first of three times I saw them. My friends and I were converted and followed Jonah Matranga's career with One Line Drawing and then solo (at 2000 Trees a few years ago). What I remember most vividly is what this Kerrang! article describes: Chino diving off speaker stacks seemingly endlessly, losing items of clothing each time.
