Call Me Menace & Villains Never Retire - wingedcat13
Four alterations of the same book that I had the joy to hand over in person as a surprise gift to @desmothene, @pleasantboat, @finalfrontierpublishing and @fantailpress on a meet-up this January.
Many thanks to @wingedcat13 for the permission to share her work.
Read the Call Me Menace here

More parchment binding today. I twisted the tackets round themselves and poked them back into the other side, which was quite tricky indeed. I am sure medieval bookbinders knew something we don’t. It has taken cumulatively four hours to get the tackets laced properly, and I am not convinced they will stay put, given that I had to make all the holes gigantic so they would fit.
I also pared the leather for the foredge ties and tackets to hold the turn-ins down. I doubt they will go any better, since the leather tears much more easily than parchment. What fun!
