Small Things * Yoo & Sekyung
“No one says it, but everyone loves those who pay attention, so listen...”
Automatic, the day acting as a mender of the neighborhood comes to an end with Yoo closing the kit once more. Click! He usually does not have the luxury of nursing in his everyday life, but surely, the days he acts as one only open up more areas of helping those in need. All in a day’s work. Sinking in his thoughts, his exhausted self unlocks his front door, keys jangling and chains hanging. “Ah, Sekyung. I have not lost you yet, have I?” Reminding them of their obvious tiredness from today’s busier work shift, “Come on in.” Normally, Yoo lets guests in first, however, she makes the exception for pretty much being another resident. Throwing his keys across onto the coffee table, he strips off his scrub top and adorns himself in his white undershirt. Likewise, white shoes fly off and parcel bag land near the couch seat. Flip! A switch on brightens the room in whitish-yellow with a few corner lights, one standing beside the entrance. Alas, his apartment his quaint and condensed, having his dining, living, and kitchen separate by no door.
To keep up ambiance, he clicks on the television, bringing up the evening news in the background as he makes way to sit at the farthest end of the couch. Slumped yet comfy, Yoo beckons his friend to sit closer, “Movie sound good to you?” With a grunted lift of head, he makes eye contact, “I have some frozen pizza and some goodies in the refrigerator. Don’t tell me you’re too tired for something scary now, haha.” His teasing is subtle, but indicates his favorite genre, “I mean, if you are a bit of a scaredy cat, then I think I can beat you at some Scrabble again,” continuing the onslaught of innocent poking.
