Laurel and Hardy are in prison in their first feature film, Pardon Us (1931), written by HM Walker. He was born in West Middlebury, Ohio, and had a whopping 412 writing credits 1917-35 with 31 of them for Laurel and Hardy. Before working with them, he wrote for Harold Lloyd, including Safety Last.
