The Beginning

This is for the @dukexietyweek day 4 parents

Virgil was asleep in bed. He had a smile on his face. 

He and Remus just became parents a few days ago. An almost month old baby. The both of them still couldn't believe it that they made it.

Then Virgil woke up from crying. “Remus?” Virgil said, waking up and turning to Remus’ side to face him.

Remus wasn’t there. 

Virgil’s eyes widened and sat up quickly.

He sighed when he saw Remus in the rocking chair holding and looking at Janus. Virgil smiled as he got out of bed and walked to them. 

“Hey.” he said quietly, kneeling down when he got to the rocking chair. Remus looked up at him, tears falling down. “H-hi.” Remus choked out.

Virgil looked at the time, it was 5:43 am.

“Are you doing alright?” Virgil asked, looking back  and putting a hand on Remus’ arm.

Remus nodded. “Yeah...” Remus said and then cried some more. “I’m h-happy...”

Virgil rubbed his arm and said, “I’m happy too.”

Janus looked at Virgil and reached a hand up to him. Virgil smiled and held Janus' hand with his finger and thumb.

He looked at Janus and Remus. "I love you." Virgil said, putting a hand on Remus' cheek. 

Remus leaned into the touch. "I love you too." Remus whispered.

The both of them looked down at Janus when he cooed. "We love you too, Janus." said both of them, smiling at him.
