So we’ve posted lots of cute pictures of our adorable little man, but this one is a good reminder that everything isn’t all smiles and snuggles. Being a new parent is hard. We haven’t slept for more than an hour and a half at a time since little one was born. We had a particularly hard night transitioning from hospital to home. There were tears from all three of us. Most of the time when we post on social media about being parents we’re only sharing the fun stuff, the cute stuff, the stuff that looks good. And that’s not the whole story. No shade to parents who do this. We all want to share the good stuff not the hard stuff. And it’s important to share both. So I figured I’d share just one shot that shows the other side of the story. All that being said, we are the luckiest new parents in that we have so many people who are truly helpful and supportive. That’s how we’re making it through this first week. Thanks to everyone who’s run errands, cleaned our house, done our dishes, and held Riker so we could nap.
