JULES— Alphard and Marietta met through their own parents: both sets of parents were trying to find suitable pureblood matches for their children. Marietta was more attracted to Alphard, who always wanted to play hard to get, but when he realised that she was losing interest over time because of his games he took her to dinner and asked her to marry him.

POPPY— Her parents (I haven’t named them yet I don’t think……) met at a bar on New Years Eve. Neither of them really wanted to be there, having been dragged along by friends, and it was her mother that approached her father, laughing about how he looked as equally miffed as she was. They got talking about their social insecurities and what they hated most about large parties and eventually went for a walk to get away from the noise. The rest is history lol

AKIRA— Nothing too special- his parents were involved in an arranged marriage. They married when his father was 23 and his mother was 20; it took some time but they did eventually love one another. They were good parents to Akira, his mother more so, but a little too protective of him and of one another.

🌗 for Lyle, Mira and Galen please?

LYLE— They met at a high society party in New York City. Lyle’s mother Diane Phillips was visiting for the summer with her family and through mutual acquaintances met Robert Astor. It was awkward at first but they quickly got to know each other, began to courting ritual, and eventually married on the the three year anniversary of when they first met.

MIRA— Her father Joel met her mother Anika in their early 20s when they were both walking through Hyde Park in London. Joel’s pet dog was attracted to Anika’s perfume and ran right up to her; after apologising profusely Joel asked to buy her lunch and things went from there.
