『Day339-86』

I went to my aunt's wake, a Japanese buddist ceremony held a night before the funeral.  A photo is the view from my parents' home in Yokohama.

叔母の通夜に行った。いつのころからか従兄弟たちとはこうした席でしか会わなくなった。僕をふくめ同じ歳の従兄弟が３人とその上と下と。気がつけばみんな40代になった。

その従兄弟の子ども（小４）から会うなり、「眉毛が一本だけ長い」と驚かれる。僕の自慢の一本で切らずに大切に残している毛だ。みんなで大笑い。

帰宅して実家の窓から見慣れた景色を眺める。

明日は結婚記念日だ。会えなくて残念だがいつもありがとう。
