Ok I was going to make the headcanon for today (and I still am) but I JUST realized....

The blueberry yogurt academy is assumed to be near the vanilla kingdom, but I realized that Parfaedia, while not incredibly close, is still a decently short distance away from the vanilla kingdom.

I also realized that there is a "Lake of Truth" right next to Parfaedia.

I ALSO realized, that the uniforms for the blueberry yogurt academy and the Parfaedia institute look a little similar...

This is the Parfaedia institute principle, with a very familiar star put in a very familiar place....

I feel like I'm pointing out the obvious, we already know that the first headmaster taught cookies how to use magic, buuutttt

Parfaedia Institute (and possibly the other academies as well) probably branched from the blueberry yogurt academy in some way.

This, paired with the dragons being significant in this arc, paired with the angels that surrounded Shamil during this arc, makes me think we're going to some really interesting lore drops.

The Evolution of Earthbread Post Dark-Flour-War-1

Language, culture, and the mixing of the two has always been fascinating to me, so I randomly decided to put together a little diagram showing off the different places cookies from the ancient heroes' kingdoms migrated to before/during/after the first Dark Flour War.

The Vanilla Kingdom

Before the War: The Vanillians used to trade quite frequently with the continents of Wholegrainia and Sugarberg, leading a few of its citizens to move and settle down there.

After the War: The Vanillians mostly migrated towards the Southwest, towards what would soon be the Creme Republic. The Vanillians also moved towards the land that would be Parfaedia, albeit in much much smaller numbers.

The Hollyberry Kingdom

Before the War: The Hollyberry Kingdom had always been close to the Dragons' Valley and its inhabitants, and the two regions would often exchange aid and hunters whenever the dragons grew in one area grew too much for the other to handle. The Hollyberry Kingdom would often trade frequently with various Tropical Soda Islands, due to the close proximity with the islands and the maritime kingdom.

After the War: The Hollyberrians who fled mostly flocked to Parfaedia, choosing to leave to a part of the world left mostly alone from Dark Enchantress's wrath. A few fled to the nearby Tropical Soda Islands, though you'd be hard-pressed to find their descendants nowadays. The hundreds of tiny islands make it near-impossible to figure out which held nothing but coconuts and which held towns and cities, which was most likely why the Hollyberrians who chose to flee here picked the islands as their new home.

The Dark Cacao Kingdom

Before the War: The Dark Cacao Kingdom traded with few kingdoms, most being the other heroes' kingdoms. The Snowfall Village was an exception to that, its cold climate and close proximity to the Dark Cacao Kingdom only serving to encourage trade and goodwill between the citizens of both the kingdom and village.

After the War: Despite the unwavering, fervent loyalty to the king and the crown of the cookies living in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, a few cookies decided to flee to safety as the war raged on and poverty swelled within the kingdom. Scovillia was an obvious choice for some as the cookies there were friendly to newcomers, and the amount of non-sweet cookies. They eventually got used to the heat. More cookies left for Parfaedia and the Creme Republic. While these three regions hold the majority of Cacaoians outside of the Dark Cacao Kingdoms, you can find small ethnic enclaves of Cacaoians and their descendants within most kingdoms

The Golden Cheese Kingdom (Before The War)

Before the War: A few cookies left the Golden Cheese Kingdom to join the ranks of Yogurca due to the similar culture and close proximity. Most cookies in Yogurca are descended from the Golden Cheese Kingdom in some way, though these cookies are very removed from the kingdom. This migration is not shown due to Yogurca not being present on the maps I found :')

So what are a few changes to the Republic, Scovillia, or Parfaedia? We got a few from Custard III's ref sheet, but are there any more we can know about?

I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!! I had a lot of fun (and chaos) writing it :)

Currently, I've only started to look into the Republic, but I plan to keep most of it the same since most changes are applied to specific Cookies, Virtues, Ancients, ect. I'm also not caught up on the storylines outside of Crispia and Beast-Yeast, so I'd have to research more.

I've discussed with my co-writer abt the idea of new Houses for a new Convocation of Elders, with Clotted Cream still being elected Consul. Since House Custard no longer exists, House Scone replaces them with Light Cream (Clotted's mother) as Elder. Her husband has long crumbled as well. There's also the idea of a new native sea House to accompany House Caviar and House Oyster that focuses on bioengineering/science. Might put Espresso in that house, who knows..

Beyond that, I've also thought about an alliance between Parfaedia and the Republic! I can see part of this being the AU's equivalent of the Cookie Odyssey, but there's a lot to consider on the board and I am very prone to sidetracking KDHDKS.
