Le pont de la Tournelle depuis par le quai D'Orleans de l'ile St Louis. Paris 1996. From my project ''Paris que j'aime'' The Tournelle bridge was completely rebuilt in 1918. The bridge is dominated by the statue of Sainte Genevieve patron saint of Paris by the sculptor Paul Landowski. The statue "looks" east because from there, from Attila onwards, the enemies of the capital came… To the left in the reflection of the sun is the famous gastronomic restaurant ΄΄La Tour d'Argent''. The tower behind is of the famous university "Jussieu"-Paris VII.
