Last week, they were called The Slapping Pistols. This week, who knows. The Whatnots. The Moving Pictures. The Western Flicks. The Suitcase Ramblers. OK. Some of those are made up. Whatever it is, it’s Parker Morrow, most notably guitarist of Hogg Maulies. It’s the side-project to Morrow’s other side-projects. A man of many bands.
For as good as Morrow is in those complementary lead guitar roles, Morrow’s been building up steam in the lead role. Last Wednesday (March 5), Morrow and his revolving door of Lubbock musicians played The Blue Light. Coincidentally, they’ll be there tonight as well (March 12).
