Deadpool loses his great grandson. By Icarus Redwings

Cw: Charater death :( womp womp
Parker is not Peter Parker. Parker is his great grandchild :)
RJ is immortal. Parker is not. :( frowny face.
The mission was simple.
Hunt down the owner of a terrible buisness and kill him. Easy right? Wrong. A rat (not swiss or nacho) had tipped them off. Told them that Wade was sending in one of his brats. More like- in an actual sense- the brat insisted. Begged him to let him do a job. He was 18 after all. An adult in the eyes of the law. To Logan? A young man, sure, but still that little feral 13 year old, and just as scrappy as before. He's older then his grandfather was before his first murder, and a decade older then his great grandfather's. "I'm not a little kid anymore" he would say, but Logan still had to look down at him when he spoke up to them.
To Wade, all his great grand babies were- well.. babies. But he understood how important freedom was. So of course. He did the logical thing.
He said Fuck No :)
"Why!??" Parker whined, frustrated. He didn't train and do all this work just to come along sometimes. He wanted to make his own name for himself. He wanted to debut- sololy.
"Your uncle can go with you."
"What!? But he's so OLD!"
"I'm 72." RJ says.
"Like I said. OLD."
"Kiddo your grandpapy is almost 300. Whats your point? Besides, Youve never done a solo before. You need to bring RJ or one of us. You arn't going alone."
After some back and forth, whining, bargining, and quite frankly- embaressing remarks- Parker agreed to bring his uncle with him. "FINE!!"
In a tone that made even Logan raise a brow.
"Sorry...Love you."
"Kiss ass" RJ mutters under his breath.
"Shut up!"
But in reality. RJ going did nothing for Wade's nerves. It was an easy job. He had confidence that Parker could do it. He was a good shot like him and didn't hesitate. Gosh.. Peter would scream at him how kids shouldn't be playing with guns.. a hypocritical thing to say for someone who was working with genetically engineered spiders at 17.
"It'll be fine. If he's anything like you- which he is- he'll come home smiling with blood on his face." Logan tried to reassure him.
But something felt off. The kind of off that made Wade worry. The kind of twitch his other universes counterpart got before his Neice got shot on life television. "My 'canon- event' senses are tingling.. The authors going to scratch that 'Im gonna give one of my ocs major truama' itch again soon.. Just how soon." He tells him, pacing.
"Maybe I should follow them." Wade suggested.
"Then he won't trust you anymore." Logan thinks, but before he can open his mouth Wade already left, going to get geared up.
Closing in on the Location, the more wade was starting to feel silly. Parker was a very smart and resiliant kid. I mean the poor guy thought his mom was dead, got abused, hunted his own food until his diet consisted of garbage and sewer rats, got kidnapped, learned his dad is alive and loves him, learned he is the direct kin of a genuis, got adopted, got rid of his worms (that hes had for god only knows how long its been), found out his mom is alive, met his mom, met the remainder of his remaining blood line, went to his moms funeral, and even went to public school for a couple years before getting his diploma early. He was perfectly capable of shooting a fat bald guy.
Pulling in, he hears a couple gunshots, assuming he was worrying for nothing. Everything seemed standard, and he knew RJ would protect him. They were both such good kids.
"Theyre fine. Everything is fine. Just gonna grab a quick peak, go home and-"
A bomb goes off.
The explosion is huge.
The building crumbles.
And then he hears it. He knows the audience can hear it too as his heart drops out of his chest and shatters into a thousand pieces.
Let down by Radiohead... chior version.
The cloud was close enough to the pent house and large enough that Logan would have to be blind not to see it. Still, he intercoms as he weaves through the debris of dead bodies, fires and pieces of building. He's not even sure to say. He just yells "LOGAN!" In that deeply serious goverment name kind of tone.
"Saw it. On my way."
It was a bit of a struggle to find RJ through the smoke and ash, but when he saw him, he pleaded with his own sanity for a moment, thinking he'd go beserk if this all wasn't some elaborate hallucination.
But then he remembered who the fuck he was. He's Deadpool. And right now? He had a duty to help any way he could.
Running up, The mix of fear and sorrow festers in his chest, barley able to speak. Assessing the situation was easy. RJ had been a bit roughed up. A gash in his uniform, blood seeping into the blackened rip fabrics. He had lost his leg somehow, using his hands to try to melt a massive peice of wall.
He was sobbing, hysterically begging. "Please please please, No, no stop- please!" as he tried to lift it with no avail. It takes Wade half a split second to question why he was so desperately trying to remove the entire story of rubble. But then he saw it..
A hand.
Without thinking, Wade throws the whole thing off into the distance, a type of strength he didnt have to use often, now heightened with adrenaline.
RJ collapses onto his knees, grabbing the head of his Newphew. The gash in his skull wasn't that deep, but the piece of rubarb through his chest went fully, pinning him to the ground.
The body twitches, trying to move. But can't. "NO! Hold still! Fuck!! Just hold still! God damn it Parker!! I- i told you to wait! Oh my god-" He squeezes tighter, sobs inaudible. But the subtitles said (Whispers) He's just a kid.. please he's just a kid.
But he's silenced by the chior, becoming louder, making his ears ring.
You know, you know where you are with
You know where you are with
The shock must have been overwhelming him, Because Parker only smiled. Blood on his face as he looks up at Wade.
The rubarb had punctured his lung, collapsing it in and deflating. His breathing sounded like a badly bred pug with a stuffy nose. And still he smiled. Grinning wide teeth- as if happy he came.
Floor collapses, floating..
Bouncing back.
Wade takes his turn holding him still as RJ rips his suit off, shuffling to press the cloth into the mans abdomen right above his hips, where he was sliced and his organs were starting to make an appearance from the brute force truama of getting crushed by a 800 pound slab of concrete and metals.
Wade had only gotten a single glance, but from what he seen; Parker was severed completely in half. The kind of injury that even *he* took awhile to come back to. Let alone his mediocre healing factor.
And one day, I am gonna grow wings..
A chemical reaction (you know where you are)
Panting, Parker must have realized just how much this was hurting, being now half of a person and all, because he leans his head back, begining to giggle.. then chuckle. And finally a laugh. All while panting and wheezing.
"No! Stop! Don't move. Parker, baby you have to stay still. Shh.. shh be quiet. Its okay. You're okay. We'll get you fixed up I swear. And then everything will be all better. I promise!"
Hysterical and useless (you know where you are)
Wade rambles, feeling the most useless he's ever felt in his entire life. "Everything's fine."
"I can see his fucking spine. He's NOT fine!" RJ says, trying his best to preserve his guts from slipping out of him now that there's nothing holding them in place.
"SHUT UP! He's FINE! Everything is FINE!" Wade snaps.
Someone from behind shoots at them. In disbelief, Wade one shots them in the forehead, even with all the dust and smoke. "MOTHERFUCKER!! IM HAVING A MOMENT HERE!"
Parker snickers at this, smiling again.. "owch.."
Hysterical and (you know where you are)
Wade violently shakes his head. "No! It's not funny. Don't laugh. Logan is almost here. You hear that? You hear the sirens? They're coming baby, they're coming. You're going to be fine! Just breathe."
"How is he supposed to do that when his is lung is collapsed!?" Rj, again mentions, bringing light and urgency to the topic.
The longer they stay here, the less time they had and the more morons tried to finish the job, trying to shoot at RJ and Wade as well.
One had the skills and circumstances to get close, about 10 feet away from them walking out of the smoke and fumes. Within an instant, they're tackled by an angry Wolverine. Angry didn't manage to cover what that was.
"Parker! See? They're here honey! Just.. just hold on! Okay? Can you do that?" He asks, but it comes out more like a sobbing plea, tears rhick rolling down his cheeks, smiling as they dripped onto his chest.
Let down and hanging around..
Parker's eyes dim. He's looking at something up in the sky, something nice it seems because he can't stop grinning. Blinking, his heart rate slows. Turning his head to look at his great grandfather, tears roll down his round youthful cheeks.
Crushed like a bug in the ground..
Opening his mouth, blood curdles up his throat. Coughing it out, he gasps, letting out a final wheeze. His eyes are bright in the fire behind them, sparkling with the will of a phoenix, but the lifespan of a boy.
Wade can feel himself loosing it. Feel the sanity dripping, leaving his eyes. His head shakes again, holding him tighter. "NO! You can't say that!! Thats- thats last words type of talk! You're going to make it! I swear! Just a little longer! Wait a little longer! PLEASE!" He sobs.
Endless repetition.
Endless come and leaving..
RJs shoulders are shaking as he sobs silently. He hasn't seen Wade this upset since his father passed. This was the curse of living. The cruelty of life. No one knows how long they had. His grandmother had 103 years. His father 98.. his newphew 18.
And him? He was stuck with it all. People coming, going, being born and dying. And theres nothing he- or anyone could do about it.
"Don't.. Don't! It's my fault. It was my responsibility to watch you! I-" His throat was so tight that not even a squeak could come out.
Everyone knew how stubborn Parker was though. He was worse then a mule.
Blood soaks his dark hair, making it almost glossy as his breathing slows. His eyes flicker with flames, but the only thing alive in them was the fire. Instead he stared up. Staring like his grandmother himself had came to retrieve him. To take him someplace nice.
Do not come to heaven
Do not bother coming..
"No!! No no no! Look at me! Don't look up there! That place is boring! Do you hear me!? Parker?? Parker!!"
The child stops breathing. His head luls back, body limp. His eyes glaze over with a certian grayish film that Wade is all too used to seeing.
His pulse stops.
And Wade screams. It's gut wrenching and terrifying. Like... well... like someone just lost a child..
