This is a throwback photo from 2004. This is a Parker 19 green cartridge fountain pen c. 1961-1962. This 5 5/16 inch long cartridge fountain pen is essentially an all plastic Parker 45 without the easily exchangeable nib and feed unit. Chrome trim pens sold in Canada for $2.95 in 1961 with two cartridges and began to be offered in 1962 in Canada with one cartridge and a converter. Very similar to the Parker Arrow and the Eversharp Big E pens. Made in black, green, red, grey, light blue, and dark blue plastic. This example has gold plate on the trim and octanium nib. The cap is stamped PARKER on the front cap lip. This is a Parker 45 Classic Black fountain pen with a medium nib probably c. 1960s. It’s a 5 3/8 inch long cartridge / converter fountain pen. The pen features a plastic barrel and section, brushed stainless steel cap, and chrome plated clip and trim. The cap is stamped PARKER on the front below the clip, and MADE IN U.S.A. on the back under the Parker Arrow logo. The nib is stainless steel and the nib collar is stamped M on the bottom, indicating a medium nib. This is a Parker 45 Flighter in brushed stainless steel c. 1970-1979. It's a 5 3/8 inch long cartridge / converter pen.  This made in England Flighter has chrome plated trim and a gold nib.  The slip on cap is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN ENGLAND on the back.  Earlier Flighters have a black plastic end cap.

This is a Parker 45 Convertible/Classic in Dark Blue c. 1963-1972. It's a 5 7/16 inch long cartridge / converter pen.  Colors offered in 1964 included Black, Burgundy, Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue and Green.  It has a small semi-hooded 14 karat gold nib that was advertised as available in seven point sizes in 1963 and 1964.   The slip on brushed stainless steel cap is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN U.S.A. on the back.  The trim is gold plated.  The fountain pen sold for $5.00, the matching Jotter ballpoint pen was $2.95 and the fountain pen and Writefine pencil set sold for $8.95 in 1963 and 1964 advertisements.

This is a Parker 45 Special in Dark Blue c. 1972-1974. It's a 5 7/16 inch long cartridge / converter pen.  The Special has chrome plated trim and a stainless steel nib.  Colors included Black, Burgundy, Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue and Green.  The slip on brushed stainless steel cap is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN U.S.A. on the back.  This example comes in a box dated 1974 with a price tag of $7.50.  The included instructions are dated 1972.

This is a Parker 45 Flighter Deluxe Gold Trim in brushed stainless steel c. 2001-2007. It's a 5 1/2 inch long cartridge / converter pen. The nib is stamped PARKER and appears to be gold plated stainless steel. This final version of the 45 has a redesigned clip and rounded black cap top ornament. The slip on brushed stainless steel cap is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN U.K. and the date code L.III on the back. The sides of the cap are stamped 45.
