Why do you think Stebbins is queer, Garraty? Does it have to do with the way he dresses or is it the way he acts? Do you think any of the other boys are queer?

Why wouldn't I? Look at him. Wiry, effeminate, and wearing purple pants. Not very normal looking. It's not like I have a problem with queers, obviously, but like...I just...well, he's just obviously one. It's kind of jarring, or something...

Parker likes to call McVries some...not so nice words, but I doubt McVries is a queer.

I mean, I hope he isn't. I wouldn't want to think of what that means.

What's your opinion on Parker? He seems pretty interesting...

Collie Parker…he’s one mean son of a bitch. Always in a cross mood, and bugging me about Maine like I’m his personal tour guide to the area. He also said some shit stuff about McVries and I being queers, and about my father…but he kind of apologized, so I guess it’s alright by me.

Maybe he just feels isolated and lonely…I get that.
