Chapter nine brings us Dorgone, a much shorter chapter focused on Anhelo right before March of the Machine.
Parnesse, the Subtle Brush (New Capenna Commander) - Svetlin Velinov
If I have Parnesse in play and Spellskite in play, if opponent tried to play a target removal spell on parnesse and I use Spellskite to trigger the change of target to Spellskite, will Parnesse 1st ability trigger twice, once for each new target?
When your opponent casts the spell, Parnesse will trigger. When Spellskite's ability resolves and changes the target of the spell, Parnesse will trigger again. (Activating Spellskite additional times won't cause any additional triggers.) So you get two triggers total from this interaction.
From a strategic perspective, the correct play here is to let the first trigger resolve before you activate Spellskite. This way you can save a mana (or 2 life) if your opponent doesn't pay life.
And yes, having two Spellskites to bounce the spell back and forth could create an arbitrary number of triggers, though there's not much point in doing that.
what dnd classes would the songbirdverse main characters be?
I'm gonna break them down into categories because the main character varies wildly.
Planeswalkers:
Mathias: Bard. Not horny, not even that fluent in social things, but he's just so small and confused and he looks so soft that you want to help him anyway. Also, great at singing, even with the trauma.
Ritter: Paladin/Ranger. Sort of a multiclass, sort of a blend of the two.
Jaren: Unfortunately there's no one to one for "earth mage muscle wizard" so we're gonna just say Ranger for him too.
Tibalt: Rogue. Slutty, slutty rogue. He's making up for the borderline-angelic presence of Mathias in the party.
Demons:
Jetmir: Canonically a Druid.
Spara: Canonically a Paladin. Kinda. By technicality. And formerly.
Xander: Bard but in an artistic way more than a musical way. Or Rogue with spice.
Ziatora: Giant fuckoff dragon. But also a former bandit leader. Barbarian or Fighter.
Raffine: Wizard, divination specialty.
Others:
Errant: Rogue, but not really an assassin.
Anhelo and Parnesse: Both Rogues with the assassin subclass.
Ob Nixilis: Fighter, but with some oathbreaker Paladin sprinkled in for flavor.
Elizabeth Bardsly: Druid, but spicy.
Look how much overlap of classes is here. These idiots would never survive a dungeon crawl.
Thanks for sending this in, anon!

who are your voiceclaims for your songbirdverse characters?
Hey anon! This is a good question. I have a few voice claims picked out, mostly based on cover/original artists on YouTube.
Mathias can change his voice, perfectly mimicking anyone, so he doesn't have a particular voice claim, he's just everybody.
Jaren and Ritter are Caleb Hyles and Jonathan Young, respectively, and I'm not just saying that because they have sick as fuck duets like their shared covers of Crossing the Line and Make a Man Out of You or the original Wolf Within song.
Jinnie Fay is Annapantsu, easy. And I'm not just saying that because she and Caleb Hyles did the official Cabaretti song (Join Us) and also a Smooth Criminal duet and that's basically how I ship Jinnie and Jaren, nope, not at all.
Errant's voice claim is Lacey Sturm. If you haven't listened to Darkness Before the Dawn by Lacey and Caleb, I recommend it. Similarly, Parnesse's voice claim is Lauren Babic, listen to Lauren and Jonathan's song God of Greed.
And a recent voice claim is actually Colm McGuinness for Ob Nixilis. Yes, it's because of Colm's cover of Hell's Comin' With Me. Shhhh.
I haven't figured out any other voices beyond that. I'll know them when I hear them, I suppose!
