Christi, really? Okay rizzles is sincerely the reason for my pain. Their relationship could be something so incredible and brilliant but the writers just don’t let it.
Maura is obviously in love with Jane. In the episode “I Kissed a Girl” when Maura woke up in Jane’s bed she wasn’t the slightest bit confused. It took Jane to be like hey why are you here to get Maura to realize that this wasn’t her home. She already feels like home wherever Jane is that she didn’t realize that it was any different than her actual house.
Maura is more than welcoming to Angela when she needs a place to live. I don’t know if I would just invite my best friend’s mother to live with me. I actually think I would but that’s just me. Anyway, she invites Jane to stay with her whenever she’s upset or feeling too scared to be in her own apartment.
The number of times they have been in the same bed is just too gay. They have slept in the same bed and not thought twice about it. I know that that is considered normal to some people, but I feel like they feel at home having each other by their sides.
Jane is protective, loving and caring towards Maura. So far throughout the show, she hasn’t shown those traits to any of her boyfriends. I feel like she subconsciously fell in love with Maura and hasn’t come to terms with it yet.
Jane also says she doesn’t like being hugged and who does she hug more often than not? Maura! And Maura is the only one who can actually get her to do things and Jane does them because she loves Maura and she wants to make her happy.
Maura has pushed away Angela and Hope when they tried to hug her when she was upset. However, she constantly lets Jane hug her when she’s upset. The only loving touch she knows how to accept is Jane’s.
I think that Maura tries to impress Jane. She always tries to make jokes and use sarcasm because she knows that that’s what Jane likes. Jane tries to impress Maura, too by her knowledge and intelligence. They can certainly surprise each other.
I think they relax each other more than anything. Just by a glance or a lingering touch they can send each other into a state of relaxation just knowing that the other one is there. I like that Maura says she never really knew how to ask for much and Jane doesn’t have to be asked she will just give Maura the world. I mean, she was willing to go to jail and lose her job, a job she loves so much, for Maura.
Their relationship is definitely an interesting one. It has the potential to be a sad, heart-wrenching romance. Or a funny and relaxed romance. I would personally like to see a mixture of the two.
The writers just need to let it be what it is and what we all see it as.
