I've only seen Garp in Live Action One Piece but DAMN he SUCKS

SPOILERS FOR LIVE ACTION ONE PIECE

IDK something about how he says "these young upstart pirates need a swift hand to put them back in their place" is just so icky to me. Then in one of the flashbacks of Luffy as a child we see Garp brutally dismantling the pirate ship Luffy built and then child Luffy kicking and screaming that he's a pirate while being dragged away. There's also the fact that when Zeff says "Luffy kind of reminds me of Gold Rojer," Garp says "well look what happened to Rojer" and it's like HELLO??? ARE YOU SAYING YOU'D LET LUFFY GET EXECUTED???

Then there's the season one finale. The season one finale oh my god after ALL THAT. After chasing Luffy around the world, wasting government resources, and attacking Luffy, he says it was "just a test to see if Luffy was serious about being a pirate" which to me, I think he realized that nothing he could do would ever make Luffy a Marine so he pretended he had it all planned out as a power move. The things that Garp says when there's no possible way for Luffy to hear does NOT make it seem like he had it all planned out. I hate this man I feel like I'm going to hate him even more when I get to him in the anime I hate him I HATE HIM RARGSAJKB
