"Dancing on Graves," now on view at The Power Station in Dallas, is the first solo institutional retrospective for Steven Parrino in the U.S. The show includes a mix of Parrino's shaped pieces, video, and a recreation of his "13 Shattered Panels (for Joey Ramone)" In his review for Terremoto, Lee Escobedo writes, "His work was a dark reflection of minimalism and the monochromatic palette which came before. Parrino’s work treaded theoretically somewhere between Andy Warhol, Yves Klein and the Hells Angels."
