“Of course. But wait, did you buy this for your own collection?”

“Whatever you talking about. If you don’t want it, I can exchange it with a cake.”

“Oh no no, please don’t. You’re already sweet enough for me. So, how can I properly thank you, I wonder?”

“Oh my. I’m afraid this mouth of yours needs to learn some proper manner later tonight.”

“Sounds good enough for me. I’m a fast learner, you know?”

“Seriously. I don’t want you to go running around saying those things to anybody else.”

“Am I? But I already have all my wishes with me right now. So, I did not make any.”

“Really? Is there nothing else you want?”

“Well, honestly, there is one.”

“Then, what is it?”

“Try not to be mad, will you?”

“Why?”

“Please?”

“Wait. Don’t tell me—”

“So, I know we haven’t talked about this but what’s your take on marriage?”

“Now now, let’s be really careful with what you wish for, okay?”

I can’t believe part 1 is finally finished! 🥳 It feels great. I’m sorry this chapter took so long, it’s 27,000 words and on top of that I deleted close to 12,000 words 😳 - I was very hard on myself. I wanted it to be absolutely perfect, as always, but more so with it being the final chapter. I really hope you enjoy it, so much happens - big conversations, big revelations, confessions, secrets, sex, heartache, death... it’s got it all 😃.
