Whenever I'm feeling down or stuck, Pride & Prejudice (2005) dir. by Joe Wright purifies my soul, and helps me pull myself together.

35. when you get angry, how do you show it?

I've never seen this one, either. I rarely get angry since I prefer to brush off intrusive or negative thoughts (it's a real lifesaver). But when I do get angry, I don't cry, scream, resort to violence or anything, but rather, I feel like my insides have frozen down to the marrow. This coldness enables me to maintain my composure, and I show my anger with just a tiny smile, a shrug or saying "okay" before simply leaving, because whoever managed to see this side of me (a side even I'm afraid of) doesn't deserve any other second spared to them.

7. What element of writing do you struggle with most?

Active scenes with dialogues where I have to use action verbs. It gets repetitive to use words such as ‘said’, ‘asked’, ‘murmured’ etc etc, which makes me a bit nervous.

33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?

Of all the questions in the list, this is my favorite one! When I first start writing the draft, I clutter the page with incomplete sentences. I leave spaces (sometimes notes to myself) between paragraphs to indicate it needs something, and as the story evolves, I just fill those blanks, and tie them together. This way, I don’t forget where the story is heading to. It looks overwhelming with so many hanging sentences and cleft paragraphs here and there, but that’s how I cope with the drawbacks ADHD causes!

This is probably going to sound condescending and I genuinely don't mean it that way, but I'm sad for that anon. I have been that person who gets annoyed at what other people like or their online persona and it feels so much better to just … not. It's not that deep, anon. This is a site where people post what they find beautiful or interesting and we can see just a tiny glimpse of each other. If any account annoys you so much, just stop looking and spend the time on what will bring you joy.

Anton Chekhov: what is the first thing you typically notice about people when you get acquainted with them (e.g. tone of voice, manner of walking, look in the eyes)?

If it’s a superficial acquaintance, I first check their hair and nose (yes, nose). But if that individual has an important place in my life, my priority would be to know whether they are facially expressive or not. It’s perhaps one of the most specific aspects of one’s personality. Apart from that, I also focus on the way they use their eye contact, and how their gaze makes me feel like. Some people prefer holding your gaze for the entire conversation, and this may provide an illuminating insight into that person’s inner life. And also, I can’t help but wonder how their skin feels like. You know that feeling when someone makes you feel like their skin is just right for you while others are not, and I find it very important when it comes to relationships, let it be sexual or professional.
