          The news wakes him up almost instantly. Aris' parents kicked him out? Gally           shuts the door before putting his hands on the other's shoulders, trying to look           reassuring despite the fury that was starting to build up in his chest.

                              "What!? Shit-- You can stay here for as                               long as you need, good that?"

“Watch my back and shoot anything that moves,” Teresa said, her                 voice low as the two trekked over unmapped terrain, deep                  in the south woods.

          Sleep was still heavy on Thomas’ brain, making it foggy and hazy           as he finishes up in the bathroom, washing his hands. At first, he           thought that the commotion from outside the door was just his           imagination, that he was starting to fall back asleep right here at           the sink. But when he opened the door to find a group of teenage           boys sitting all over the room, he almost loses his ability to speak.           Carefully, he takes a step back into the bathroom, brows furrowing. 

                                “Who the hell are you, sticks?"

                           “That’s funny, ‘cause I don’t have                            any indication of wanting to bail                            you out of jail.”

“I fell down a couple stairs.”

          The fingers on his free hand hook into Aris' belt loops, pulling him closer to his           body as he guides the kiss. It isn't a lie that half the people in their friend group           (including Gally himself) knew that Aris liked him. Maybe he wanted to take           advantage of that or maybe this could be considered as a first move on his part,           but for right now, it was just a kiss. A kiss that was quickly escalating into his           tongue moving forth into Aris' mouth.

           It isn't hard to see how badly Aris takes the news. Gally watches as his            face falls, watches as he's forced to sit down as he takes it in. They            weren't meant for each other, that was something he had already come            to terms with a long time ago -- back after their first year together. If it            hadn't shown up then, he figured it wouldn't show up ever. So he told            himself that he didn't care, that they'd just go on and stay together since            it didn't matter. 

           But last night, those letters inked themselves into his skin and he'd woken            up with the burning pain of it to see the name. It was there-- it was finally            there. He just had to find who it was -- who the name belonged to. He knew            he was close by though. He had to find him. That's what he'd spent today            doing, thinking that it wouldn't be a big deal, that he could tell the guy he            was sorry, that he was spending his life with someone else. But when he            saw him....Everything changed. It was a pull in the base of his stomach            and a thuddering in his chest that let him know this really was the one for            him. 

                              "Does it really matter who it is?"                               he asks, staring anywhere but Aris.

Aris smiles, looking over at his step sister. “You know we have school tomorrow right? And it’s like 3am.”

Teresa lit a cigarette -- she was nowhere near as dependent on cigarettes as her friends; it was something she did when she got bored -- and let it dangle from her lips.

              “I don’t give a fuck,” she answered her step-brother, glancing               at him before back at the sky. “I like listening to your myths               more than any teacher.”
