Marriage is a lot of work. Toss in kids, careers, daily to-do’s, self care, family & friends, it’s easy to put your relationship with your significant other on the back burner. There are MANY days we have to text each other just to remember to tell each other something, even when we’re in the house together. With 3 kiddos, it’s hard to get a word in otherwise. Let this go on too long and I start to feel all areas of my life suffer. Our relationship is the foundation on which all else is built, so it’s so important to take care of it! My best advice? Find something you both love to do and get out of the house together as often as you can! For us, it’s every other week at most, ideally we’d have a night every week, but the business of life ebbs and flows. Which is why is so important to be intentional in getting it on the schedule so it’s locked in. One of our favorite things to do is visit local wineries. There are DOZENS within an hour radius of our home. Did you know Ohio has ideal climate for growing grapes? Enjoying a bottle of Pinot Grigio overlooking the rolling hills of the vineyard is so peaceful, so quiet, and the best way to reconnect. And when there’s live music, it turns a good day into a great one. You can check out my #winelife or #partnersinwine highlights in my bio to see all the places we’ve been recently and my favorite wines 🍷 It’s always a good time, we always find something to laugh about the sillier we get, and it’s a great way to escape the business and noise of every day and actually have a conversation🙌🏼 What’s your favorite place to go with your favorite person?
