Symptom had shut himself off from both Hazel and Weapon and mostly kept himself locked away in his room. He had spent the better part of his time deciding if he truly was better off here at Rainy Day rather than being in the city. His radio very rarely would receive transmissions from the city but they subsided after a few weeks realizing that the callers presumed him dead. Perhaps it was better this way that they thought he was gone, one less thing to worry about.
Ash he was thumbing through the records Weapon let him borrow he became anxious to move around the home, he had trapped himself long enough. He made his way out the door and into the first long hall. It was strangely quiet for Rainy Day but at the same time it was easy to tell that there were more than a few pairs of eyes watching. Symptom had gotten used too it, it’s just what the residents did. He looked up at walls where he spotted a set or eyes watching him through the small cracks.
“You know you’re making it easier for me to find you but I have to admit, that is a very good spot.”
He could swear he heard a faint ‘Thank you’ followed by a round of giggles before the eyes disappeared from view. Symptom continued walking down the hall considering for a moment to pay Weapon a visit. The other probably wouldn’t talk to him much on the count that he hadn’t seen him in over a couple weeks but that really didn’t matter. Symptom kept walking, trekking the different halls before he heard a familiar voice follow behind him.
“Do you think he is going to be mad at you? I’ve heard him and Hazel talking and he doesn’t talk about you much, you must have made him mad.”
Symptom smiled as he turned to see the smaller resident. She wasn’t wrong, it had been too long and that could only mean it hurt Weapon something fierce, payback wasn’t going to be pretty.
“I’m sure he is but there’s only one way to find out, right? between you and me I don’t think you should be too close when I do talk to him again, might hear somethings you might not like.
He watched as she rolled her eyes, she had seen so many things since living there that nothing seemed to be new or phase her anymore. Symptom watched as she just turned around and began walking away.
“well, between you and me Symptom, If I had carbons to bet, I’d bet on Weapon but good luck anyway.”
Symptom waited until she was out of view to head to Weapon’s room, the pungent smell of weed leaking from below the crack. He knocked twice before opening the door and entering.
“Figured it was about time that I paid you a visit, handsome.”
