@pas-cal aww i’m so sorry to hear that you’ve felt pressured too!! honestly it took a long time to figure myself out and build the self confidence that i needed, those 7 years felt somewhat suffocating for me in this aspect.

thank you for your kind advice :’) i’m sorry you had to force yourself to change, no one should feel the need to conform to societal desires for others.

i’ve just been very lucky and grateful to have met such wonderful people here (including you!). they’ve helped me grow into loving myself more and accepting myself for who i am, not who i should be.

Not everyone needs it??? Some people utilize public transit and others walk!! Carpooling is effective too!! Not everyone needs a license!!! Not everyone needs a car (or has the means to afford it!!!!!) although it is handy at 21 for booze but that’s beside the point

yeah, i was just thinking the same thing actually! i just recently moved to a big city so it’s very easy to walk or ride the bus to places. gotta love the booze tho that’s pretty much the only upside to being this age already lmao

Gilbert is the handyman of the relationship. He'll fix just about everything. Cars, appliances, crooked cupboard doors, you name it. Perks of going through hobbies like tissue paper. It's a relief for Ivan who's usually too bogged down with work to fix any household problems.

YES. BLESS. Ok but Gilbert does the dirty work and Ivan is the housewife holy shit. First off in a modern au Gil DEFINITELY has a background in mechanics (specially cars). And Ivan is a great cook (he learned from his sister). Actually because he was practically raised by his oldest sister he knows how to cook, sew, bake, crochet, all that good stuff. His only fault is he’s a bit of a slob. No worries though as Gilbert is a neat freak. It frustrates Gil to no end though because once Ivan is done with something he’ll just leave his shit all over the place. They get in frivolous arguments about it but the work load is balanced out in the end.

Ivan will never be used to Gilbert wearing his clothes. He'll come home from a long day of work and find Gil sprawled out on the couch in a sweater that is obviously not his and undies and that's it. He nearly always kind of just completely blanks because wowie wow wow what a sight. Gil never gets the luxury of seeing Ivan in his clothes tho. Ivan couldn't fit even if he tried.

Gilbert LIVES in Ivan’s sweaters oh my god. He accidentally wore one to a meeting one time because he’s just so used to them. Dear lord he’ll never hear the end of it from Francis and Antonio. Ivan loves it though, he started buying sweaters and t-shirts with Gilbert’s taste in mind.

They both wear reading glasses. But Gilbert's a lot more self conscious about it. Like hella self conscious. That being said they both really love the glasses look on the other, Gilbert especially because Ivan is just an absolute bookworm and sometimes he'll fall asleep in the study and his glasses get a little askew and you bet your ass Gil's (pink) phone is full of pictures of sleepy Ivan in glasses

Ahhhhhhh YESSS. Ivan wears that ridiculously big almost circular glasses while Gilbert wears the slim, more normal sized ones. But those glasses make Ivan’s eyes look even bigger than normal and it’s just so adorable Gilbert can’t get enough of it.

Gilbert reeeaaaalllyy likes how Ivan's hands feel on him. Large and calloused. A little chilly but that's nothin a little foolin around can't fix. But also because Ivan is ridiculously gentle for a guy his size and that's actually kinda refreshing for Gilbert?? Also Ivan is ridiculously adorable in the mornings because he's slow to wake up as opposed to Gil who's up at the ass crack of dawn if not earlier

Oh my god yeeeeess. It is my favorite headcanon that Gilbert LOVES Ivan’s hands (and everything they can do) thank you ! Also yes Ivan is a bit of a lazy bum, but Gilbert helps him straighten out his sloppy habits. Thank you!
